25.01.2022 Many thanks to everyone who attended our online launch today of ArtScreen 2021, a new video art production initiative for artists with disability. Successful applicants will be paid, mentored by leading video artists Amala Groom, Soda_Jerk and Dr Zanny Begg (pictured) and have access to a $21.5K production budget. The show's theme this month is 'Embracing Disability’ and presenter Anthea Williams talks with Asphyxia (writer of the remarkable novel FUTURE GIRL), and Sarah-Vyne Vassallo, (choreographer, director and Artistic Director of integrated performance company Murmuration). 06.01.2022 Don’t forget we’ve teamed up with Create NSW to host a webinar this Tue 9 Feb from 10am 11am for artists with disability who are interested in applying to Create NSW’s 2020/21 Arts and Cultural Funding Program Round 2. Various project grants are available with up to $60,000 in project funding for individuals. Learn more about the funding programs and get help on how you can put your best application forward. You’ll find out about funding available for individual artists, in...structions on how to apply and there’ll be an opportunity to ask questions. 04.01.2022 The Superfest Disability Film Festival, the oldest disability film festival in the world, is now open for submissions for the 2021 festival. If your film features disability content, actors with disabilities, or is made with a person with a disability in a prominent role, you are eligible to apply to Superfest! Go to Film Freeway to submit it for judging. Successful entries will have their films highlighted in the main festival October 15-17, 2021, and maybe screened at Sup...erfest Showcases in venues around the world. Screening fee provided / some travel and access awards available. REQUIREMENTS 1. Deadline for submissions is 11:59 pst on March 1st, 2021. 2. General submission fee is $40. Films submitted before January 15, 2021 or made on a shoestring budget may be submitted for $20. 3. Your film must have been produced within the last 10 calendar years (since January 1st, 2011 for entry in Superfest 2021). 4. Short and Full Feature films are welcome.
