We are proud of the ongoing assistance and support we are giving all our clients as we deal with the impact of the Coronavirus on their current and upcoming travel arrangements. Our true value as an independent travel agent (not one of the mega corporates) is finally being realised on all levels as travellers scramble to deal direct with airlines, cruise lines, hotels and tour operators throughout the world. Trying to get through on a co...nsumer phone line is near impossible and I can only imagine the frustration and stress those travellers are going through. Those who chose to book their travel arrangements with their independent travel agent, instead of going direct or via some internet operator, are now benefiting from the relationship they have as their personal travel agent handles all aspects relating to their travel arrangements which they proudly and professionally manage on their behalf. As an independent, caring travel agent we are navigating our way the best we can, working closely with travel wholesalers to get the best outcome for our clients in these unprecedented and challenging times. We have been here supporting our clients 24/7 since this all started and will continue to be here for them. Many of our clients and those around us do not realise that we are currently working for nothing financially and that we are charging no cancellation or amendment fees for our past or ongoing service. Our business relies solely on the commissions that our travel wholesale suppliers pay us for managing your booking on their behalf and this is how we pay ourselves a wage. The problem here is that we don’t realise these commission payments until such time as our client has travelled. So for us this means we have not been paid for the work we have already done and it also means we won’t be paid for the work we are doing now We are not looking for any accolades or sympathy here but what we are asking for is that when the dust finally settles and we return to normality and people start to travel again, that you value and support your trusted, independent travel agent and book all your travel arrangements with them. All we are ask is that you "Think before you Book" and remember that "Without a travel agent you're on your own!"
