21.01.2022 *IMPORTANT UPDATE COVID-19* The Australian Government has announced the national rollout phases of the Covid-19 vaccination, with disability care staff and residents first in line under phase 1a. Younger adults with an underlying medical condition, including those with a disability will be vaccinated as part of phase 1b. 06.01.2022 A warm welcome to our new Support Coordinator, Kylie Pelaez. Kylie's career started in hospitality after completing an Associate Diploma of Business (Hospitality). After 8 years in the hospitality industry, Kylie went to one of Australia's largest law firms in Sydney where she held a position as a barista/wait staff member for client meetings. After a short stint of making coffees for lawyers and their clients, Kylie was promoted to a receptionist and then went on to be a le...gal secretary for the same law firm. From there, Kylie went into a secretarial/administration career, which she held for over 18 years with several different aged care facilities and community care providers. 'In my time rostering nurses and care staff for aged and community care, I realised I had a passion for helping people, and in particular people with a disability. So I moved into my recent government job with NDIA where I gained invaluable experience for my new career in support coordination. I am very excited to be hands on with participants to help them work towards the lives they always dreamed of'. We are so excited to have you onboard.
