17.01.2022 Training is back up and running! Thank you for your patience. It's a common phrase as we adjust to life with COVID19 in the world. Whilst we are able to recommence training we have had to limit the size of our classes to ensure we are adhering to government regulations and for the safety of staff and attendees. We are in the process of setting up more classes to meet demand however if you are in need of certification, please let us know well in advance as classes are filling... quickly. We have implemented several new measures to ensure the safety of staff and attendees at any of our first aid training. A few examples as follows: - attendees must declare if they have, or knowingly been in contact with someone who has, had COVID19 in the past 14 days. If so they will be unable to attend - temperature taken on arrival - anyone showing flu like symptoms on the day will be asked to leave and reschedule their training - social distancing measure will be adhered to as per government regulations - hygiene and PPE measures will be in place and available at the training venue We appreciate everyone's understanding and we are doing our best in these difficult times. If you have any queries or concerns don't hesitate to give us a call so that we can discuss your needs. Stay Safe!

16.01.2022 Do you know how to use a defib machine? This is one of the things that you will receive training in during our Provide First Aid course (HLTAID001). You may think that all defib machines are the same. However, as with all technology, there are many machines on the market with varying functions and efficacy. The machines we recommend and supply are not only good quality but have more functions than a basic model, including detailed audio instruction in relation to speed and d...epth of compressions so you can provide quality CPR. The defib shown here is used in our training sessions which allows you to receive practical hands on experience, invaluable should an emergency occur. If you are interested in purchasing a defib machine for work or home, or would like to know more about our CPR and First Aid training, you can contact Neil Walker at our office to discuss your requirements and options.

14.01.2022 Spring has sprung and Summer is on it's way. And in Australia that means snakes. Over the years there has been a variety of methods of dealing with snake bites, some more effective than others. Knowing what happens when a snake bites can help you remember the best way to treat it. When you are bitten by a snake, most of the venom is initially caught in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is slow moving and transfers toxins in and out of the bloodstream. It is once the... lymph nodes transfer the toxin into the bloodstream that life can be threatened. So the goal with first aid in a snake bite situation, is to slow down that transfer as much as possible, until emergency services can arrive and higher care can be arranged. During our first aid courses you will learn more about this, as well as getting hands on experience in applying the right bandages in the correct way. Contact us if you would like to know more! We also have snake bite kits packed up and ready to go for you to add to your first aid kit if you need them. It's nearly Summer in Australia - let's get ready! #firstaid #snakebite #firstaidcourse #warwickqld #snakebitekits

12.01.2022 For effective C.P.R. there are three important criteria - location, depth and rate of compression. We use manikins in our courses so that you can have hands on training and understand what would be required in an emergency situation. We have several courses available in November so you can contact our office now to make a booking.

07.01.2022 Is my First Aid Certificate current? While First Aid courses are generally valid for 3 years, most healthcare related occupations require annual CPR re-certification.
