25.01.2022 #Repost @bekwindsor with @get_repost THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. @aogwrvn On American Thanksgiving we are reminded that saying THANK YOU is very important. We want to say thank you to everyone who has given generously towards the flooding in Central Vietnam. A few happy snaps of the team doing some shopping to prepare 26 HEALTH CENTRE SANITATION KITS for each of the communes we work in - each centre sees to the health needs of at least 5,000 people within the...ir community. Each kit will be used to clean up and sanitise the affected Health Centre to ensure a healthy and safe environment for patients. It will also include water purification supplies for not only the Health Centre, but also for hundreds of homes and provide cholera medication for at least 1,000 people as well as basic essentials for women and babies. 1 KIT = A$500 (100% tax-deductible in AUS). 21.01.2022 2020 hasn’t turned out the way Narel and Alison planned but like all our field workers scattered across the globe, with the help of 1Day they’ve made the most of a difficult situation and used it for God’s glory. One of these opportunities was to reach out to 380 pastors whom the couple help train, disciple and mentor throughout Sri Lanka, and provide them and their families with dry ration packs and seeds for vegetable gardens. They also provided the same assistance to another 45 pastors in Sri Lanka, as well as 175 struggling families including those connected to their HelpKids Education Centre. For more information on how you can support vital ministries like these through 1Day, please visit https://www.acci.org.au/1day/

19.01.2022 Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. At ACCI, we understand that gender inequality is a systemic issue which is entrenched in societal beliefs, systems and laws leading to inequity and gender-based discrimination and violence. Therefore, it cannot be changed through simple initiative alone, but through fundamental shifts in attitudes and structures. We aim to promote the rights of all people by addressing and removing barriers which ...oppress and prevent people from achieving their full rights. Our partner, Mother's Heart Organization - MHO, work tirelessly to help women in crisis pregnancies, where 54% of the women in their program have become pregnant through rape, entertainment (prostitution), incest or trafficking. MHO assist these women by providing counselling sessions, vocational training, medical treatment, childcare and essential items for babies. As their mission statement says, MHO are empowering women so they can choose the best future for themselves and their babies. Consider donating to Mother’s Heart via this link: https://donate.accir.org.au/form-4302378/R066.

19.01.2022 Tim and Bronwyn, like many missionaries, were based in Australia while preparing for a new season in southeast Asia due to the COVID crisis. They have now secured a flight and all the necessary permissions to return to their Thailand base and will fly out on November 30th. After almost 14 years of missions service as part of The River Team, they are now returning to a completely new season, focussed on training national leaders and facilitating church planting and church growth in southeast Asia. . Thank you for your ongoing support of Tim & Bronwyn's ministry, especially throughout this covid season. To learn more about the work that they're doing, please visit http://ow.ly/rMfU50CrC7i

17.01.2022 What a wonderful story we've received from our partner, Mother's Heart Organization - MHO, who are continuing to support women and their babies: When Sitha became pregnant, she remembered feeling like she had no hope left. But when she entered MHO, Sitha decided that she would take care of her baby no matter what. After her baby was born, Sitha attended maternal educational classes at MHO and was able to participate in a skills training program. When older, her daughter start...ed attending the MHO day care centre. Here, the day care staff would provide her daughter with the comfort she needed and is now enjoying stories, singing songs and learning the many important skills. Sitha is so thankful for the care and attention MHO are giving her daughter in day care. She says that this has given her a peace of mind knowing that her child is in a safe, loving, learning environment, being cared for while she completes her training, and eventually attends work (faces blurred for privacy). 13.01.2022 Here is the bad news...cyclone Eloise that hit Mozambique on 23rd January 2021 has removed the roof off Hope Church, Beira. The church which is run by Ps Robbie Housen and Ps Pedro Caetano, has been operating on land under a long-term lease for over a decade. Also on this property is accommodation and ministry training rooms. . The good news is that their Hope Centre building and land, which is owned by the ministry, is standing strong. So the time has come to consolidate ...and relocate the Hope Centre ministry, church, training and accommodation onto the Hope Centre site. . Stage 1 is a renovation to convert the existing facilities for ministry, training and accommodation. Stage 2 will be the construction of a cyclone proof undercover area for church and community activities. . Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the stage 1 renovate and relocate project. . 12.01.2022 Robbie Housen established Hope Ministry Training College 20 years ago in Beira, Mozambique and in the last 10 years 1Day has contributed to its continued success. Since its inception, their training programs have seen approximately 800 pastors and leaders graduate, going on to plant 400+ outreach points/churches, train and multiply leaders in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi. . In response to the challenges of training more pastors throughout the region, Robbie and Pedro have ...commenced an innovative diploma program, the Church Multiplication Initiative (IMI). The course will run with week-long intensives spread out over a 27 month period, training 49 pastors from 20 denominations. These pastors will gain a recognised diploma, which is the minimum standard for their pastors registration, while continuing to engage in ministry and earn an income. . In January Emerging Leaders Training will commence, with a focus on theology. This will involve 3 evening classes per week and graduates will receive a Certificate of Theology after 2 years and a Diploma of Theology at the end of 4 years. . 1Day is committed to the development of indigenous leaders across the globe, empowering them to step out into their own highly effective ministries. . Click the link in our bio to find out how you can get involved with 1Day and help spread the gospel to the ends of the earth! See more

12.01.2022 With school closed in the Western Province of Sri Lanka, the team at HelpKids set out to provide home schooling materials for children enrolled at the HelpKids Pre School. Each week, a parent/caregiver would go to the HelpKids center to receive materials and go through the activities, which they could then teach their children at home. Soon after starting, the HelpKids team realised this was more than just a way of continuing to provide education for the pre schoolers. Paren...ts/Carers were both surprised and engrossed in the way the program was presented. Each week they would draw, sing, play and do the other activities that their children would be doing at home with them. Even though it was awkward at first, they began to enjoy the time at the Helpkids Centre. For many, it was an hour of time for themselves in a time of fear, uncertainty and much hardship. One farther hadn't drawn a picture in over 22 years! Another mother who had never been to preschool herself was excited to see what new activities were organised each week, and couldn't believe that children did all these things at preschool. The team has been encouraged by what was at first an education initiative, which has now become a family strengthening program. When a family comes together to help each other, then a family is strengthened! Amazing work to the team at HelpKids!

08.01.2022 The Flourish life skills program has been a significant tool used to speak into the lives of women around the world. 1Day has given Rhonda the means to be able to take this into communities that ordinarily wouldn't receive the Good News, bringing hope and a sense of worth to these precious women. . 02.01.2022 Hugh & Barbara (names changed) are amongst a unique group of missionaries whom we can't openly promote due to very real security risks. They are ministering in a region that is politically unstable, where anyone who follows Christ, along with those who share the gospel with them, are considered to be traitors to country, religion and their family. . Hugh & Barbara are doing an incredible work amongst these unreached people groups! Please listen to their story and uphold them in prayer. . For more information or to support Hugh & Barbara, please visit https://donate.acci.org.au/form-4504104/FW053

02.01.2022 **Prayer Need ** Please join us in praying for the precious people of Tigray, Ethiopia who are enduring the most horrifying premeditated, multi-pronged genocide targeting unarmed civilians. . Reports indicate a massacre of more than 52 thousands civilians and counting, imprisonment of tens of thousands, rape of thousands of women and underage girls, displacement of 2.2 million people, denial and delays of humanitarian aid access to 4.5 million civilian Tigrayans, significant... destruction, burning and looting of infrastructure, settlements, public and private properties as well as religious and heritage sites. Few aid agencies have been operating in Tigray with quite limited access. . Please pray for God’s intervention to cease the atrocities, hostilities and restore peace and provide protection to those who are persecuted and comfort to many who have lost loved ones. . Speak up for those millions of voiceless Tigrayans indiscriminately killed and in desperate need of assistance to influential people in your network and your local MPs for the Australian Government a) to support humanitarian efforts and put pressure on the Ethiopian government to allow unfettered humanitarian access to all parts of Tigray; b) to support the UN to pressure Eritrean force leave Tigray and to send peacekeeping forces to stop the genocide. .
