21.01.2022 Check your Award Rates Fairwork has updated the way overtime is calculated for CASUAL employees. Previously, overtime was calculated on the full-time rate, then an overtime percentage was added. A change to many awards for the calculation of overtime for casual workers. From the 20th November 2020 - the penalty rate is to be calculated on the casual loaded rate, which is inclusive of the 25% casual loading. 18.01.2022 I had a wonderful encounter with a monk today. He has been in Australia for 1 year and loves this beautiful country. They had a minute silence today for Remembrance Day at the school he works at. A friend told him about the Newcastle ANZAC walk and he wanted to pay tribe and prey. He asked me to take some photos of him on the walk. I loved how proud he was and felt bless to meet him.
