15.01.2022 Interesting facts came out of the tax discussion group attended recently: The ATO will not only look at Div 7A/debit loans with shareholders (i.e. loan receivable by company from shareholder) but also look at credit loan balances and question the validity of the credit balance... Food for thought... Be careful and make sure you are working with a qualified accountant/tax agent...

13.01.2022 Attention Investment Property Owners it is important that you make sure you review your ability to claim depreciation on the property and its contents where applicable. Many people over look items as they believe they are insignificant, such as garbage bins, smoke alarms, rugs, door closers, exhaust fans. However all these little things add up. With recent changes to government policies on such claims it is important to employ a quantity surveyor to undertake an assessment of your property for possible relevant deductions. Contact Accounting with Koryzma and I can point you in the right direction to an appropriate person to help you out with these depreciation reports.
