25.01.2022 We are excited to have moved over the weekend to our new premises at 28 William Street. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients who have supported and encouraged us along the way and who are the reason why we love what we do. We look forward to the future that we will create together at our new location... We thank Tru-Flo, our landlords, who have supported us as we started our Accumen journey in November 2016 when there were only 2 of us. 28 months late...r we are a team of 10! We are blessed with a remarkable team that have come together to support each other to achieve great things... and that we do! We look forward to welcoming you to 28 William Street. See more

25.01.2022 Instant asset stimulus package for 2020 purchases All businesses with turnover under $500m will have an opportunity to utilise the instant asset write-off for, at least, some portion of the 2019/20 income year. The Government Coronavirus Stimulus Package includes a measure where all businesses under the turnover threshold can immediately deduct assets which cost less than $150k.... If you are a business which, up to now, has been unable to take part in the instant asset write-off, the stipulations for claiming the deductions are as that the asset must: be mainly used in the business have been purchased after 12 March 2020, and be installed and first ready for use by 30 June 2020. All business with less than $50m in turnover already had instant asset write-offs in place. The current $30k limit has been moved to $150k.

25.01.2022 Superannuation Guarantee Amnesty Proposal is BACK! by Robyn Jacobson Tax Advocate Senior Tax Trainer at TaxBanter Pty Ltd FCA FCPA CTA Committee chair/member Blogger and Podcaster... BREAKING: The proposed SG Amnesty is back Today (18 Sep), the Government introduced into Parliament the Treasury Laws Amendment (Recovering Unpaid Superannuation) Bill 2019 which proposes to allow an SG Amnesty for unpaid SG amounts. The previous Bill lapsed on 1 July 2019 when the 46th Parliament commenced. The Amnesty period is proposed to start on 24 May 2018 (the original proposed date) and end 6 months after the date of Royal Assent of this Bill. Under the Amnesty: the $20 administration component will be removed; the (up to) 200% Part 7 penalty will not be imposed: a tax deduction will be allowed for the payment. The Amnesty will apply to shortfalls for quarters starting on 1 July 1992 and ending no later than 31 March 2018. The Amnesty will not be available for shortfalls from 1 April 2018. Notably, from the day after the Amnesty period ends, a new provision will prevent the Commissioner from remitting Part 7 penalties below 100% of the amount of SG charge payable by an employer for a historical quarter that was covered by the Amnesty where the employer fails to come forward during the Amnesty period in relation to historical SG shortfalls.

11.01.2022 The Treasury Laws Amendment (Recovering Unpaid Superannuation) Bill 2019 has just been passed by the Senate, and has therefore now been passed by the Parliament. The Bill awaits Royal Assent. This means employers have 6 months from the date of Royal Assent to make disclosures and payments that qualify for favourable treatment under the Amnesty. Assuming the Bill is enacted in the next week10 days, then employers will have until late-August, perhaps early September, to come f...orward. Any employer who does not come forward when they should have done so for shortfalls in respect of the period from 1 July 1992 to 31 March 2018 will face an additional 100% penalty. This is a very pleasing development, and one which will ensure many more employees receive the superannuation entitlements to which they are entitled. The Bill as passed is available here: https://lnkd.in/gmdJwcG Posted by Robyn Jacobson from Tax Banter on LinkedIn

08.01.2022 Bathurst - lets get behind this project! The silent majority need to get loud. Business Owners and Community Leaders - please speak up. This is an amazing project that will boost our local medical services to compliment our existing public and private health services.... It is a boost to our CBD and every business that operates in it: Every patient and their family/support that will browse the shops, buy a coffee, or dine in the restaurants while visiting BIMC. And a solution to commercial parking for the CBD that has been ignored for over 20 years... Please have your say on the council website and get LOUD about this project. Complacency will allow the minority a disproportionate voice. This is a gift to our Community. Lets not take it for granted.
