17.01.2022 Some helpful information when purchasing a car. The Holden Captiva, has quite a few expensive issues Automatic transmissions can get problems with sensors, these are generally not replaced and a new transmission is required the engine gearbox and subframe requires removal for this an extremely expensive excercise. The transfer cases are very prone to fail and at over $3000 in parts to replace. The starter motor to replace requires the transfer case to be removed.... EGR. Coolers are common to fail this is an expensive excercise also See more

06.01.2022 Bit of information. Most people don't realize this. If you SRS light is illuminated the system has detected a fault and the Airbag is switched off so in the event of a crash the Airbags will NOT deploy. The same is for the ABS If the light is illuminated, in an emergency the Anti locking braking system will not work
