01.01.2022 THE WHITE-TAIL SPIDER! These guys love to venture inside homes hiding in places such as bedding, washing piles, clothes left on the floor, shoes ect. The bite of a white-tail can be extremely painful usually accompanied by localised irritation, swelling and discolouration of the skin. In some cases it has been known to cause what is called Necrotising Arachnidism - this is a type of skin inflammation resulting in ulcerations and skin loss. If you are bitten it is important t...o try and sight and identify the spider itself. Apply an ice pack to the area in order to try and reduce swelling and see your local doctor.
