23.01.2022 Well! Back to school today for most of our students. ACEacademics still has a few places left for students keen to improve their learning. Our learning centre is already busy with eager students. We wish everyone a happy and successful term!

22.01.2022 What have you done today to support your child's learning? You can give constructive feedback about homework. You can sit down with a smile and help with a difficult problem. You can talk to a teacher, support a school production, keep informed about school homework policy. How we can help: if you are stuck on a problem, too busy to help, unsure about modern teaching strategies, ACEacademics can provide a pathway to success, helping you to support your child's learning. Why not make an appointment to discuss your child's learning needs?

15.01.2022 To all our valued clients! We believe in the importance of education and are dedicated to providing continuity to all our students. Therefore, due to the coronavirus emergency, we are moving to online consulting, starting next term. We will use a mixture of Skype, googledocs, phone conversations and messaging. Students will be able to drop work in a box on the table by the front door at the learning centre and collect it when marked. As we believe this will not be as effecti...ve as face-to-face teaching, we are offering all students a reduced fee of $55 per session until the crisis is past and we can return to face-to-face teaching. Please let us know before the end of the holidays if you would be interested in this option. Kind regards Stay safe! Marion See more

14.01.2022 Stress! Academic stress is very common in students of all ages. Recently, a little tot of 6 was wailing to me, "I don't know how to write persuasive text!!" Secondary students frequently stress about knowing the "correct structure" for certain writing tasks. I spend a lot of time fielding enquiries about language analysis, oral presentations, analytical essays.... Stress is bad for us. We all know that! Stress decreases motivation and produces mental health problems. Michaela Pascoe, writing for the Sydney Morning Herald, discusses her extensive review of literature related to student stress. The article makes an interesting read! I'll quote a little. "School related academic stress and burnout decrease student motivation and increase the risk of dropout." "66% of students 15 - 16 report feeling stressed about school grades. 55% feel anxious about school testing." If you child is stressed about academic achievement, we can help by providing excellent, caring instruction in a relaxed environment. Why not contact us today to discuss your child's needs? 0418 413 409 Or email [email protected]

12.01.2022 Given the current covid situation, it is with much regret that we announce that our learning centre will remain closed for the first six weeks of term 3. We understand that this will be a disappointment to those who were looking forward to a return to face to face teaching. However, the situation will be reviewed in six weeks and government guidelines will be followed. We will be in touch with all present students very shortly to discuss options for term 3. Our very best wishes to all our students and their families. Stay safe! Keep strong!
