23.01.2022 We are currently seeking a home for a Male Australian Bulldog. No male dogs, small dogs, or children under the age of 12 years. Fully fenced yard (no small apartments) local home around Maitland / Newcastle. ... Please privately message me if you are interested and only meet the above criteria as this is an urgent request. Thanks Amy
22.01.2022 Graycie has a cosmetic defect with her lip causing displacement of her nose and may have to have teeth removed as her adult teeth come through, otherwise our little cleftie is doing really well. Graycie had a cleft palate also which seems to have fully closed and on her last vet check was cleared from a low grade heart murmur (puppy murmur) and a luxating patella. I’ve been torn as to whether we keep her or find her a special home, had so much going on in my life lately an...d with house renovations, work commitments, I’m conscious of Graycie not getting the time she requires spent with her. In saying that she is such a placid and easy going little puppy. Everyone who meets her melts. Graycie will need to be desexed and at this point would hold off another month or two and assess the need for teeth removal as her adult teeth come through. (this could be done at the same time) Graycie is Microchipped & Fully vaccinated so she can be socialised in public now. She is up to date with worming and tick/flea treatments. Graycie is crate trained at night. Graycie has basic harness and lead training and manners. I am extremely fussy where this little puppy goes, and would request she stay within the Maitland / Newcastle Area. (if you are outside of this area, please respect my wishes and hold off messaging) ideally I would like Graycie to still see her same vet, as he knows her history. Graycie MUST be an inside dog. There is an adoption fee on Graycie, she is ready to meet a new possible family from Thursday next week. Please privately message me with a some information on your self, living arrangements & home offered, before applying to meet Graycie.
20.01.2022 Poor old Olive (11 years of age) had a suspected snake bite to her hock yesterday afternoon, she was checked & treated promptly by our vet. She was cleared of showing signs of venom affects thankfully. As we are now in snake season, snakes are looking for food, to breed and relocate after the cooler months they are on the move. Here is some information for you in regards to what you should do, and what to look out for in regards to signs of a snake bite with your pet. ... Emergency Situation Transport your pet to a vet immediately!!!! Pets are usually bitten on or around the head, neck and front legs. Take note of the colour and patterns on the snake. (If possible) For a great reference for snake identification see: www.whatsnakeisthat.com.au *Do not attempt to catch the live snake or harm the snake. *Don’t waste time chasing the snake, get your pet to the vet safely. *Keeping calm will soothe your pet and help minimise their distress and movement. *Apply a pressure immobilisation bandage if possible (similar first aid techniques as recommended for people). *Keep your pet calm and quiet. *Carry your pet to the car, do not allow your pet to walk if you can help it. *Transport your pet to a vet immediately, if possible call the clinic to let them know you are on the way and they may also provide additional instructions Signs that your pet has been bitten by a snake: If your pet is in the close vicinity of a snake, assume they may have been bitten. The area around the bite may swell rapidly Area around the bite may be very painful and bleed. It may be hard to find the bite in some cases if there is no obvious swelling (or the swelling may have caused the bite marks to disappear) Remember, pets can react in different ways. Symptoms can include Dilated pupils Weakness in hind legs Trembling Drooling Pale gums or Purple Gums Pace around anxiously / Restlessness Difficulty breathing Vomiting Panting Collapse straight after being bitten, and then act normally for a period of time Become comatose / unconcious Bleeding Sudden death In our case we possibly had a dry bite, next time might not be so lucky! Please keep this information in mind if dealing with a possible/positive snake bite.

11.01.2022 REPOSTING (Sorry never followed up with people who messaged) We currently have a female Australian Bulldog 2.5 years old we are looking to place in a guardianship (foster/forever) home to a lovely family close to Maitland NSW. If you would be interested in more information please make contact via private message. ... Location must be no more than an hour from Maitland (sorry at this stage not looking at going outside this parameter). Look forward to hearing from you GUARDIAN HOME OPPORTUNITIES We are looking for guardian families to help us expand our Bulldog breeding program, without skimping on the love and attention for one of our bulldog babies. A guardian dog is offered at a significantly reduced cost to that of a pet price. A guardian family is given a puppy, adolescent or young adult dog who is microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations and worming. A guardian family, can then take over the joy and responsibility of normal pet ownership and we can rest easy knowing our dogs have an amazing life and can enjoy all the benefits of being in a family home with only 1 or 2 other pets. Our guardian dogs are those that have been handpicked by us to carry on the amazing lines they’ve come from and to create new and beautiful litters of adorable puppies for other families to welcome into their homes. A guardian girl will have 1-2 litters, between the age of around 18 months and 3 years old. She’ll honeymoon here, and then return to her family for the first 7.5 weeks of her gestation. A week before she’s due to welcome puppies she will return to us here and we’ll help her bring her babies into the world. She’ll be loved and adored while here, and when her puppies are weaned at approximately 6-7 weeks old, she’ll return to her guardian home. She would retire by her 4th Birthday. A guardian boy generally requires no sleepovers. His job is quick, but his services would be required more often. He would retire by his 4th birthday. A guardian arrangement is not for everyone, and it does mean sharing your dog with us up until their 4th birthday. (Or sooner in some instances) If you live within an hour of Maitland/Newcastle NSW and you’d like to find out more, please introduce yourself to me via direct message (DM)
