25.01.2022 Be wary for a surprise just like this

25.01.2022 With the coronavirus spreading globally, we are in a period of somewhat uncertainty, and want to reassure you that Ace Driver Training, Cairns will be open and where possible continue to give top class driving instruction through this challenging period. The Australian Government has not yet placed any restrictions on delivering driving lessons. Nevertheless, we encourage you to postpone your booking for minimum of 14 days and seek medical advice if: You are currentl...y unwell (fever, cough, shortness of breath); You develop symptoms; and You have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or live in or have recently travelled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19. TMR has announced that it will cancel driving tests for 3 months from 28 March to help limit the spread of coronavirus. This will affect anyone who had been planning to take the practical driving test within that period. Ace Driver Training will not close during that period, but operation of driving lessons may possibly cease should we receive advice not to continue driver training operations. We will certainly be in touch with anyone who has a current booking. As it stands we will to continue to clean vehicles before any driving lesson appointment, and this is our cleaning procedure: Disinfectant products are used to wipe down the interior of your vehicle before commencing a lesson. (This includes the steering wheel, the indicator, wiper handle, gear lever, door handle, any place that germs could hide.) Anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitiser are available in the car we also encourage you to wash your hands before your driving lesson. During the driving lesson, the vehicle's air-conditioning will be switched to recirculate off so that there is plenty of fresh air in the cabin. We understand that despite all the precautions we can take, you may have reservations about driving lessons. If you are at all unsure, please by all means give us a call on 0402 223 208. 21.01.2022 The QLD Premier has announced from Monday 15 June, QLD learners will be able to sit for their P-plate test again! Extra precautions will be taken to ensure the tests are conducted safely and priority will be given to learner drivers who had tests booked prior to COVID-19. Booking a priority test TMR will contact you if you had a test cancelled. They will give you details about rebooking a new test. ... If the cancelled test was due to take place: A. on or before 9 April, you may call to book a new test from Monday 8 June B. after 9 April, you may call to book a new test from Monday 22 June. From your allocated date, you can book a new test by calling 13 23 80 between 8am and 5pm. When asked to provide the reason for your call, say ‘driving test’. Your test will be booked to take place from 15 June onwards. Prioritisation of bookings Test bookings will be prioritised for customers who previously had a car test cancelled when the suspension was announced. Reasons for priority include; critical for employment, access to medical treatment, commute to educational institutions, or other exceptional circumstances.
