20.01.2022 Breakfast for lunch? I think so! Lately, I’ve been more motivated to try new recipes (perhaps because I’m no longer getting up before 5am ). I can honestly say these ‘protein pancakes’ were delicious! Topped with natural peanut butter & fresh raspberries

07.01.2022 The year 2020 has been a year like no other (as I’m sure we can all relate!) Due to the compulsory shut down, I had to stop working and it’s something I’ve never had to experience. Initially, I was completely thrown and didn’t know what to do. I knew it wasn’t forever, but there was no return date insight. Rather then wallowing and feeling sorry for myself, I took the opportunity to put my uni degree to use and decided to take up an offer in Human Resources.... Flash forward 8 weeks and I have been fortunate enough to be offered an ongoing position, which I have accepted. For anyone who knows me, knows I didn’t come to this conclusion easily, as I have a passion for both industries. I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t do what I advise my clients to do - that is to look after their health. As much as I love the fitness industry and my business, the truth is being in business is HARD work - it had taken a toll on my health and I knew it was time to re-evaluate. I’ll still be working in the fitness industry but on a very limited basis. This doesn’t mean I’ve failed or given up, it means I know what I need to do to look after myself and do what’s best for my family - don’t ever feel guilty for making a decision that is best for YOU! Moving forward, on this page you’ll see a bit of everything - health, fitness, food, life & everything else in between. I’m excited for this next chapter, things happen for a reason & no matter what, you should always try find the silver lining - it’s what keeps us moving forward

06.01.2022 Even though right now we’re all facing challenges, remember we will get through this and things will eventually get back to normal. Don’t let a time like this derail you from your goals, instead aim to keep your healthy habits in check and work on things you can control, rather then focusing on what you can’t control.

06.01.2022 I’ve had a couple of questions about my pancakes lately, so I thought I’d share the recipe! 125g plain, no fat @chobaniau yoghurt. 1/4 cup self raising flour, sifted. 1 egg, beaten. ... 1 tsp vanilla essence Dash of baking powder Method: Mix all ingredients together into a batter. Using a non-stick frying pan, add 1/4 capfuls of batter and cook until bubbly on top and golden on the bottom. Flip and cook until golden on the bottom. Serve with your favourite toppings and fruit - my favourite combinations are banana with peanut butter, strawberries with Nutella, or even just blueberries with some sugar free maple syrup! I’d love to see your pancake creations

01.01.2022 Cooler mornings = porridge for breakfast. I tried the new Sam’s Pantry porridge, the berries and cream flavour and topped with fresh strawberries and coconut and it was delicious. Don’t let the time in ‘self-isolation’ be a means for you to skip meals or eat foods that aren’t nutritious. Personally, I’ve included a variety of foods- no food is off limits; I’ve had pizza, pasta, enjoyed a few Easter eggs but I’ve also kept eating foods that are full of nutrients, at least 80-85% of my food has been full of nutrients, leaving 15-20% foods that I really enjoy. By not restricting yourself means you won’t feel the need to have a cheat day or binge as you can have any food you like - but in moderation that is the key.
