21.01.2022 Mango Lassi Mango Lassi is a refreshing, cold beverage originating from India. A Lassi is a yogurt-based drink blended with a bit of spice. Fruit pulp (in this case pureed mango) sweetens and flavours the drink while a sprinkle of cardamom adds warmth. A lassi can be described as a lighter, healthier version of a milkshake or a smoothie. Yogurt by itself can clog the channels of your digestive and elimination systems, once it is transformed into lassi it actually aids digest...ion. Thinning yogurt with water and blending it changes the molecular structure so it is more easily assimilated. Drink it before or with lunch. Makes 2 servings Ingredients 1 cup (230 grams) plain, non-fat yogurt 3/4 cup (170 grams) pureed mango 1 tablespoon brown rice syrup (optional, adjust to taste) 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom 3 tablespoons of room temperature water + more to taste In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Divide evenly between two glasses, sprinkle a little cardamom for garnish, and serve immediately. Vegan Mango Lassi Makes 2 servings Ingredients 1 medium sized mango or 1 cup mango puree 1 cup cashews, soaked for at least a couple of hours or overnight 1 tablespoon chia seeds (or flaxseeds) 1-2 teaspoons turmeric (to taste) 2 tablespoons agave syrup or Rice Bran syrup 1 pinch of black pepper Juice of 1 orange Juice of 1 lemon or lime 3 tablespoons of room temperature water + more to taste 1 tablespoon lucuma or Macca powder (optional) Cardamom for garnish http://www.livestrong.com//479259-benefits-of-lucuma-powd/ Start by grinding the chia seeds. Add 3 tablespoons of water and let the mixture sit for at least five minutes, until a thick gel forms. Mix the remaining ingredients in the food processor, blender or bowl. Add the chia gel and blend. If it is too thick, add more water to suit. Divide evenly between two four glasses, sprinkle a little cardamom for garnish, and serve immediately.

09.01.2022 Making Chapati 1. I freshly grind organic wheat into a bowl and add enough of the whey from yoghurt to form a soft dough. 2. Knead well until soft and pliable and roll into walnut sized balls. 3. Let them rest for at least 30 minutes for flour to completely absorb the moisture from the whey. 4. Roll out to a thin disc and place onto a flat pan over low gas heat.... 5. When small bubbles appear, turn carefully and cook until they start to rise. (be careful not to over cook or holes will burn into chapati. 6. Place chapati directly over gas flame (approx 2.5 cm above flame)to allow it to puff. 7.Drizzle with ghee and serve with vegetable subji, curry or soup. 05.01.2022 If you are finding yourself feeling a little run down at the back end of the silly season a great product to help to provide an immediate & natural immune support to help boost your immune system responsiveness, is Del-Immune V . We at Life In Balance have been using this little wonder in a capsule for over 12 months and are mightily impressed. While others around us have been falling ill we have managed to avoid catching the dreaded bugs. When those of our family members wh...o were a little lax in taking their Del-Immune V caught a virus once they started taking the Del-Immune their recover was a speedy one. The quick onset of action for Del-Immune V is usually four to six hours. Del-Immune V capsules naturally activate the innate component of our immune system. Taking advantage of the natural immune processes, Del-Immune V creates an inhospitable environment for pathogens in our body. As Dr. Elin Ritchie says, Del-Immune V immune supplements are like vitamins for boosting your immune system. Del-Immune V supplements contain biological components found in bacterial cells and cell walls that are important to increase immune system response. Del-Immune V is derived from a probiotic strain of Lactobacillus rhamnosus (DV strain). Our body recognizes these components and turns on our immune defences. Some of these responses are immediate, helping us mount an immune defence against foreign pathogens. Other responses prime the rest of our immune system to quickly act and generate a high-affinity response to any foreign pathogens. Great for the whole family including our Fury friends!
