Skilled migration The state’s allocation of interim 491 and 190 visa nominations are intended to support and prioritize South Australia’s economic recovery and public health response. Prospective applicants will be able to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Department of Home Affairs SkillSelect system.... An invitation to submit an online application for state-nomination will be sent to prospective applicants with EOIs that meet Commonwealth and South Australian priorities. The Government of South Australia will publish state nomination requirements on 27 August 2020. 14.01.2022 Good News for Prospective applicants of SC 485 who are stuck out of Australia. New amendments allowing applications for SC 485 visa to be made from outside Aust...ralia during a concession period. The amendments also allow the visa to be granted to an applicant who is outside Australia. Prior to this amendment, most applicants were required to be in Australia to apply for the visa and to be granted the visa. The amendments provide former international students with the opportunity to obtain a visa to return to Australia when travel restrictions are lifted. 06.01.2022 New Labour Market Testing legislation (from 1st of October 2020) Employers looking to nominate a foreign worker for the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa will now be required to publish 3 advertisements for the proposed position. One advertisement must be on published on Government website such as Jobactive. Remaining two advertisements can be placed on other Australian job search websites, print media, radio etc. These advertisements must be live for 28 days, similar to what it was before.
