21.01.2022 We received a very exciting email today from Create NSW informing us that we were successful in our application for the 2020 Digital Grants. This funding will allow us to upgrade our computers and other IT equipment and purchase a larger printer with A3 and A4 capacity. Shan and I absolutely LOVE visiting Officeworks to purchase IT supplies for ACHIEVE so we cannot wait for our next visit. 17.01.2022 Today was a wonderful day! I got to share one of our ACHIEVER’s great excitement as she received 91% in her recent assessment task. She has worked so hard to remediate numerous N awards putting her at risk of not completing year 11 and has now re-engaged in her learning to the point she is achieving A grades! To say I am proud of her is an understatement. 06.01.2022 What a beautiful day! A fantastic HSC writing workshop followed by a catchup with one of our 2017 HSC ACHIEVERS who was keen to share his university experiences with us. It was wonderful to hear that his university lecturers have been so impressed with his writing skills that they are using his essays as exemplars for other students. He very generously attributed that to his time at ACHIEVE and brought flowers to show his appreciation. I was also very spoilt to recently receive a beautiful floral arrangement (thanks With Love Bespoke Styling) which now everyone can enjoy as they arrive for their sessions.
