Xavier is a Health & Physical Education Teacher with seventeen years’ experience in the Catholic and government co-education sector. He has previously held many positions in the education field including Assistant Principal, Director of Sport, Faculty Head, Year Level Coordinator and Religious Education Coordinator across the primary and secondary levels. Xavier has qualifications in Health and Phy...sical Education Teaching (K-12) with experience taking subjects and grades in the following areas: Sports Science, Outdoor Education, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics, Religious Education and Grade 2, 5/6 classroom. Xavier’s skills as an educator across the state of Tasmania and NSW have provided him with multiple teaching and managerial experiences through his seventeen years. Xavier takes an integrated approach to the development and learning of the individual in a collaborative setting understanding and applying learning requirements specific to individual needs. Xavier takes special interest in health and fitness and is heavily involved with coaching, with his passion directed towards Australian Rules Football where he is an accredited Level 2 AFL Coach. 17.01.2022 Some great initiatives have taken place throughout COVID-19 and it was great to see Burnie High School run a virtual cross country challenge of recording the most kilometres during the week in houses. Many students ran and walked their way for their house with some students amassing over 100km for the week! I’m sure there will be some sore bodies still recovering from their efforts! As a result, plans are underway to deliver a series of FREE online sessions with a focus on F-10 Health and Physical Education. Professional Learning modules will be hosted on our YouTube Channel and available for you to watch at any time after their... release. Each module will be supported by a Live Q & A session with the facilitator approximately two weeks after it is uploaded to YouTube.
