17.01.2022 It was a blessing that Ryan could be released from Calvary Health Care Bethlehem hospital for a couple hours and have a coffee and bite to eat with us this afternoon in Parkdale. As we were leaving we looked up and saw a beautiful rainbow. The rainbow symbolises peace and serenity and a promise from God. We pray for peace and serenity as Ryan and his family navigates the complexity of this disease of MND.

17.01.2022 What an awesome day driving up the country with my son Caleb and meeting Andy at Garfield North to collect some logs and fire wood. Thanks Patricia and Arlene for the Supply. Arlene was unfortunate to be affected by the fires and we have been able to support her in recent months. This wood supply is a blessing to keep us warm at our host home for Connect group during Winter. Thank You Caleb and Andy for your help, You are a tops bloke!!!

06.01.2022 Lifting the lid on homelessness As Homelessness Week for 2020 comes to an end, our fight to eradicate street and rough sleeping continues. Through connection,... linkages, referrals, assertive outreach support, case management, and specialised programs, The Salvation Army is the largest provider of homelessness services in Australia. Our National Homelessness Research Project found: 2 in 5 respondents with kids became homeless because of family violence. One in six of all respondents became homeless because they couldn’t afford to pay rent. More than one-quarter of all respondents were deprived of basic living items (food, water & healthcare). 2 in 5 respondents with kids had nowhere stable to live & were forced to move from place to place.
