21.01.2022 MILLICENT COMMUNITY TRAGEDY AND SUBSEQUENT OUTREACH SERVICE All Red Cross staff, members and volunteers thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families a...ffected by the tragic motor vehicle accident that occurred just outside of Mount Gambier on Saturday afternoon. In cooperation with Wattle Range Council, Red Cross volunteers trained in responding to collective trauma will be providing a community outreach in the private side room of Acky’s Deli in the Main Street on Tuesday the 1st of December between 10am and 6pm. During this time, experienced volunteers will deliver vital psychosocial support to those community members who may have been affected by this tragedy. Further sessions may be held subject to community needs and Red Cross staff will continue to monitor this ongoing situation. A big thank you to Mark and June Pilmore who have kindly made their facility available to us at short notice for this important service. Coffee and tea will be available for those community members who may wish to come in and just talk about how they are feeling or seek some additional support in the days and weeks ahead.
