Featuring a range of video, photos and artworks created by Martin Potter (JCU) and Nadira Ilana with the villages of Bongkud-Namaus in Sabah, Malaysia, the work offers an insight into the living culture of the Dusun indigenous minority. 14.01.2022 Come join us in Townsville for from 11:30am - 2pm Wednesday the 19th of April for the launch of "Exercises in Futility" a new solo retrospective exhibition by Paul Mumme curated by third year Creative Arts & Media students. To celebrate the opening, there will be live music and a barbecue on offer while the students fund raise for their own Graduate Exhibition show at the end of the year.

People of all ages and abilities in the community can volunteer to work with co-directors/ choreographers Lucy Guerin and Gideon Obarzanek, and the Dancenorth dancers to help realise the audience involvement component of this main stage production. There are no prior skills required, but they are looking for people from all demographics and walks of life with a willingness and excitement to explore. Jason DeCaires Taylor has been a key figure in pushing Land Art into a marine environment and over ten years later now has over 850 life-size public works installed underwater around the world and will be making a presentation about his work which will be followed by a panel discussion.
