This year, we’re not able to fundraise like we normally do such as selling Red Ribbon merchandise on the streets, train stations and community hubs, or collecting donations in theatres and productions. But we hope you can still support the Red Rib...bon Appeal by pinning a virtual Red Ribbon and making a donation. Dedicate your ribbon by sending a message of solidarity, support or remembrance. Thank you for your generosity. Big or small every little bit counts. We’re truly grateful for your kindness and support. 20.01.2022 These words were written by the remarkable team at TransHub. "Today marks Trans Day of Remembrance, and the end of Trans Awareness Week. It's fitting that the end of a week of celebration of our worlds and lives recognises that for so many of our communities harm, hardship, and violence are occurrence. Today we reflect on the trans people who have been killed in the past year, and back through history. We think of the names of those counted, and the countless names that go u...nwritten or unrecognised as their authentic selves in death. Today we stand with our Sistergirls and trans sisters of colour, who bear the brunt of transphobic violence. Today we can all say "enough", pledge that there must be fewer names, and fewer deaths each year and keep fighting for the living." Please join your local communities TDOR Vigil or online. See more

07.01.2022 Today (1 December) is World AIDS Day, a time for us to honour those we have lost to an AIDS-related illness. It’s also a time for us to stand in solidarity with people living with HIV today, and raise awareness on tackling HIV stigma and preventing new HIV transmissions. World AIDS Day also provides us with an important opportunity to reflect on how far we have come. Since the early years of the epidemic, we have made remarkable progress in the fight against HIV. Recent data... shows that HIV diagnoses continue to decline overall, HIV testing rates remain high, and more people living with HIV are on treatment than ever before. We are heading in the right direction but we still have a long way to go. Because despite advances in testing and treatment, some attitudes haven’t changed. Stigma can have profound impacts on people living with HIV and can prevent those at risk from getting tested and accessing the support they need. Stigma affects all of us. In order to truly end HIV transmissions, we must eliminate HIV-related stigma. How ever you are marking World AIDS Day, whether it’s at home, at a virtual event, by donning a red ribbon and supporting ACON’s Red Ribbon Appeal, thank you for being part of the movement. Your involvement will helping raise awareness and shine a light on efforts in HIV prevention, education, care and support. Thank you for making a difference.
