20.01.2022 Community. This is the reason I started Acreage two years ago. While we are shut I will miss our customers and the community we have built around us. This is a time when we need community and that support more than ever but due to self isolation this is going to be hard to come by. Many people will feel cut off. This is our opportunity to keep talking and being apart of each other’s lives. Even if it is in a virtual capacity for now. My dream when I started this business wasn...’t to make big bucks (although that would have been nice) it was to create basically a new CWA. A place for us to share what is going on in our busy lives as it has changed from when CWA was going strong many years ago. I want to let you in on a secret. When I first moved to Tasmania almost 5 years ago I had no one. No friends, no community, no like minded people to hang out with. I had to build my community around me. Acreage was a big part of this. I built this store as a collaborative business model - not only to build on our connections to the community but to help build other people’s businesses also. While this has changed in recent times in store it hasn’t changed my vision to build a community of like minded people. People who are interested in stuff and each other. So let’s in this time of self isolation keep talking and interacting. Let’s chat about the things and show each other what we are up to in this slow at home time. What are you cooking? How are you entertaining or teaching your kids? Are you preserving veggies/fruit? Making jams? Gardening? Exercising? Keeping fit or trying to keep kids active? This is to keep chatting, making sure we stay mentally well through this very strange and scary time. Please let’s talk and keep talking and reaching out to support each other where we can. So let’s start talking - come and join the page the community and the conversation ... feel free to post what you like - let’s try and keep it light.

Some design will not be for everybody but some ideas might light you up inside and make a room sing. Love it or hate it that is what design can do. We know that this particular floral dried light installation is a little bit out of the box but we love that Bradley and Lenore decided to try something completely different and we were ...thrilled to put this together for them.
