So could this be the perfect time for startups? Our very own CEO Matt Pfahlert joined Richelle and Warwick for the discussion and an incredibly interesting conversation that might see start ups rise from the ashes.....

21.01.2022 Have you got a feeling that someone you know or care about it isn’t behaving as they normally would? For many, this year’s mountain of challenges have triggered mental health issues which may have gone unseen. R U OK day reminds us that it's important to meaningfully connect with the people around us and start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling with life. The message for 2020 is ‘there’s more to say after R U OK?’ because its often more complicated than a yes or no answer. Please take a few moments to pause what you're doing and ask a family member, friend, colleague, or neighbour if they're OK. You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

10.01.2022 Happy Social Enterprise Day 2020!! ACRE advocates for the business model of social enterprise as a means of rejuvenating communities in Australia. So, please join us in showcasing and celebrating businesses that trade to intentionally tackle social problems, improve communities, provide people access to employment and training, or help the environment. We'll start the ball rolling with MIKS CHAI, a tea social enterprise that supports mental health and wellbeing. Miks started ...brewing her Aaji’s (grandmother's) chai to bring people together to share stories. Hearing the courageous experiences of others, and sharing her own story saved her life. She has brewed cuppas for 100s of people around Australia. In total she has travelled 70,000km in her self-built tiny home to empower people to be conscious of their mental health, an act of leadership that saw her nominated for Young Australian of the Year QLD 2019. The very essence of Miks Chai is its most important ingredient real life conversation. Is there a social enterprise that inspires YOU? Please share on this page with the tag #WhoKnew and be part of an annual campaign that encourages social enterprises around the world to share their stories and celebrate their impact.
