25.01.2022 This is a screen grab of the East to West route that we have plotted in Google Earth. The route is subject to change, but this is essentially the proposed route. Dont forget to download the .kmz Google Earth file so you can view this in far more detail on your own PC.

24.01.2022 Keep an eye on this page for details of the new Across Australia Challenge - an endurance / navigation adventure in your own vehicle, from the East coast to the West coast (or vice versa). This event is driven at your own pace and is not a race / rally / speed event. All the hard work in planning is done for you, so you simply enjoy the adventure.

23.01.2022 HOT NEWS:- At a meeting today we decided on the two points of the Across Australia Challenge; one on the East Coast and the other on the West coast. These will be known as Start / Finish and the Turn Around Point. Remember this is not an Event, Race, or Rally.... Adventurers can take part whenever they want, and go East to West or West to East at their own pace. The chosen town on the East Coast is Byron Bay, and on the West Coast is Carnarvon. The course will take Adventurers through NSW, QLD, SA, NT & WA. From one side to the other and returning via a different course, the course will be route charted in both directions and Adventurers will also be given a Challenge Guide with all required information including accommodation, fuel supplies, distances etc. This is all provides as part of the Challenge Registration. Keep watching as more information becomes available. Invite your friends to join this page to help get the information out there. Our logo will be finalised very soon, at which time our web site will also be up and running.

17.01.2022 We will shortly provide a Google Earth .kml file for you to download, to view the route on your own PC, where you can zoom in/out as you wish. Watch this space!

16.01.2022 More Hot News:- Each vehicle taking part in the 'Challenge' will be supplied with a GPS Tracking System so everyone back home (that means your wife & your girlfriend) can follow your progress live on a Google map. This GPS Tracking system will also have three functions available to the 'Adventurers'. 1/ We are OK... 2/ We are broken down and need non-emergency help 3/ We have an emergency and need emergency help This system is also there to show the 'Challenge' team that each 'Adventurer' has followed the course correctly. The GPS Tracking System is hired to each 'Challenge' crew as part of their registration fee.

11.01.2022 More information will be released next week so stay watching.

09.01.2022 The team at BTIP have been planning the "Across Australia Challenge" for some time now and its getting closer. The Challenge is not a race / rally or speed event, it is a Navigation Trail that each participant or Adventurer drives at their own pace, in their own vehicle over a given course from one side of Australia to the other and back again via a different route. That way they get to see different parts of the country. The course will be anounced very soon so keep watchin...g. On route the "Adventurers" will have to stop and take photos at given points and these photos will be placed on their trophy and presented to them at a dinner on the 2nd Saturday of January each year. The web site is being built and will be released very soon. We hope to have the Challenge open for "Adventures" early 2014. Keep watching this space for more information coming very soon. See more
