19.01.2022 For circulation - The Australian National Women’s Endurance Cycling Program is announcing it will hold a Selection Camp,, at the AIS in Canberra, between November 1st and 11th 2013. Similar to previous camps, It is modelled on Military Special Forces selection activities and is held with the objective to identify and recruit riders for the Australian National Women’s Endurance Cycling Program s...cholarships (formally AIS scholarships).... The camp is a highly demanding and very rewarding activity. The camp is by invitation only and is targeting Female riders aged between 18 and 35 years old, who are interested in gaining a scholarship with a view at developing into an International Elite Cyclist. Experience in racing is desirable . All applications are welcome but in order to be considered for participation in the camp, an application must be supported / endorsed by a National Team Coach or a State Institute / Academy endorsed Coach. Successful applicants will be responsible for the cost of getting to Canberra for the camp. Accommodation, food and local transport will be provided for successful applicants. Please note that the selection camp is a very demanding activity and that participation is entirely voluntary. Deadline for applications is Midnight, October 1st 2013. 10.01.2022 2014 Prohibited List released The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the 2014 Prohibited List which will come into effect on 1 January 2014. It is important to familiarise yourself with the List to ensure you are ready for the change. ... Most changes for 2014 seek to provide greater clarity to the List, with the majority of amendments being of a technical nature, including re-categorising and improving the terminology of existing substances and methods. Further information about the new Prohibited List can be found on the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority website (http://asada.gov.au/) Athletes can re-check the status of their medications at any time by referring to the Check your substances tool on the ASADA website. The Check your substances tool will be updated to reflect the 2014 changes on 20 December 2013.
