21.01.2022 June 14th is World Blood Donor Day. Earlier this year, our hospital, along with other likeminded organisations created a team with Red Cross Lifeblood with the goal to save 1,000 lives between now and the end of December 2021. So far we've saved 222 lives! Did you know that 1 in 3 people will need blood sometime in their lifetime, but only 1 in 30 people donate. Join our Lifeblood Team and get involved, every donation counts! #Save1000Lives

12.01.2022 Wednesday 28 April is World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The day provides an opportunity to reflect on how to prevent work-related occupational diseases, deaths, injuries, and illnesses. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our hospital's priority has remained the safety and well-being of both our patients and staff. The World Day for Safety and Health at Work theme for 2021 is "Anticipate, prepare and respond to crises and invest now in resilient OHS systems." The theme acknowledges the impact that the global COVID-19 pandemic has had on our working lives and the importance of building an effective, resilient, and adaptable WHS framework #worldWHSday2021 #SafeDay2021

09.01.2022 World Health Day 2021: It’s time to build a fairer, healthier world for everyone, everywhere. As COVID-19 has highlighted, some people are able to live healthier lives and have better access to health services than others - entirely due to the conditions in which they are born, grow, live, work and age. The cost of COVID-19 is so high that it demands we do things differently: that we commit to building a fairer and healthier world by taking health equity much more seriously than before and meet head-on the social and economic factors that cause health inequities. #WorldHealthDay2021 #WHO
