24.01.2022 Each month ACTTAA holds a skill share day or workshop - a place to explore, discover and share. This weekend with the gentle guidance of Valerie Kirk, we explored mark making, comparing nature and man made objects. It was also fabulous weather, so lunch outside and some ‘bonding’ was up for grabs.
16.01.2022 It’s been a busy month for ACTTAA members. Gardens are blooming, grass is growing too fast due to a very wet October. But we are still finding time to finish projects for the 'Show and Tell' featuring at our monthly meeting next week. ACTTAA is accepting new members and guests are very welcome to register for our meeting next Wednesday evening. We have an interesting guest speaker who is a painter with a passion for textiles and embroidery. It’s going to be another inspiring evening.
10.01.2022 What a great night, and our last meeting for 2020. The enthusiasm and creativity of Naomi Zouwer was the start of our evening, as this artist and teacher explained her process of making and creating. She brought so many delights and everyone was captivated by her beautiful works. Next month is an afternoon tea and our final gathering for what turned out to be a very successful year for ACTTAA. Nothing can stop creativity!
08.01.2022 Christmas is coming and many of our members are busy adding those special craft details to the day of family and feasts. What a year, but we made it! And this will make Christmas even more special. Big family hugs that might just last a little bit longer as we truly are grateful for all the little things.
08.01.2022 Busy hands at the ACTTAA retreat last weekend at St Clements, Galong - a place to discover and share creative ideas
06.01.2022 Our creative retreat was so much fun. Not everyone could come so another free class was run back in Canberra for others to have a go at using a new technique of simply weaving some fabric then sewing some embroidery to embellish.
