24.01.2022 SLEEP WORKSHOP WITH A SLEEP COACH. Hi all get in quick, there are just a few spots left in this Wednesday nights (5th Aug) workshop if you have a 5-12 year that has sleep problems. Any sleep deprived parents or carers battling with creating healthy sleep routines? We are fortunate to be able to offer four virtual sessions with a gentle sleep consultant who’s offered her assistance to the HeartKids community.Cheryl Fingleson The Sleep Coach is a mother of a heart angel herself.... Below is the link to her web site. https://www.cherylthesleepcoach.com.au/p/cheryl-fingleson/ We have 4 separate session based on ages that will run Wednesday nights from 7pm-8pm. over 4 weeks. We are limiting the number of people to 8 per session so it will allow for a more personalised interaction that allows for questions. Wednesday 29th July for parents/carers with 0-4 year olds. Wednesday 5th August for parents/carers with 5-12 year olds. Wednesday 12th August for parents/carers with 13-18 year olds. Wednesday 19th August for Adults. If you would like to be part of a session please email [email protected] the session you would like to join and I will send the Zoom link. First 8 will be sent the link with any other interested people placed on a waiting list.

22.01.2022 What’s in a name? We recently met Yve, who at just two-days-old had surgery to repair her heart here at the RCH under the watchful eyes and world-class skills ...of our cardiac team. Not only did the surgery save her life, but it inspired her name! In awe of the talent and techniques of cardiac surgeon Yves d’Udekem, first-time parents Bea and Paul decided on the name Yve for their little girl. A few years ago, Yve visited the RCH but this time not for an appointment. She arrived with a list of questions and was desperate to meet her namesake and hero, and her dream came true! For any young person aged 12 - 25 across Australia in our HeartKids community is welcome to join in - just make sure your a member of the MyHeart Facebook page to keep up to day with all the info! These virtual events are hosted every fortnight on Sunday afternoon, except on a school holidays where they are hosted weekly. Each fortnight it is hosted by a different Victorian Youth Advisory Commitee member - so these events are ...hosted by young people, for young people in our community!
