13.01.2022 Dear Dancers and Parents, We apologise but due to lack of entries we have had take the extremely difficult decision to cancel our competition and championship for 2019. We are very disappointed to do this for the second year in a row. A refund of your entry fee will be arranged in due course. Thank you, ACT Regional Committee.

10.01.2022 The ACT Regional Committee of Highland Dancing Inc would like to advise that our forthcoming Championship, which was to be held this Saturday in Canberra, is CANCELLED due to insufficient entries. We are exremely disappointed to have to take this action and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Entry monies will be refunded. Thank you.

09.01.2022 Two beautiful ACT Highland Dancers today doing some promotion for the Canberra Highland Gathering with the lovely Adrienne Francis. Super fun to be able to share our love of highland dancing with the community. Thank you to Athol Chalmers for piping so fabulously as always.

09.01.2022 What a brilliant day we had at the 44th Canberra City Championships at the Canberra Highland Gathering today. Congratulations to all our championship winners, and to all dancers and their families. We look forward to seeing you back next year. Results: 7-11 years: 1st Natasha Golden (NSW); 2nd: Alice Gill (Vic); 3rd: Lily Rakete (Vic), 4th: Aiden Salmon (SA); 5th: Gabrielle Golden (NSW); 6th: Caelen Collins (NSW). 12-15 years: 1st: Phoebe Clark (Vic, and Sword of Canb...erra winner for Highest Championship Points on the day); 2nd: Cailey Finlayson (Vic); 3rd: Liam Golden (NSW); 4th: Tilly Salmon (SA); 5th: McKenzie Evered (Vic); 6th: Tessa Van Bueren (WA). 16 and over: 1st: Cyan Macleod (Vic); 2nd: Felicity Warren (NSW); 3rd: Megan Majczyna (Vic); 4th: Ebony McDonald (Qld); 5th: Paris Kelliher (NSW); 6th: Enya Price-Magennis (NSW). Below are some photos from the day, with the crowd (the rainclouds thankfully were only threatening), three of our male dancers onstage all together, our fabulous Primary Dancers, and with the massed pipe bands.
