25.01.2022 Interestingly a "memory" came up on my Facebook feed today. Today 7 years ago I went whale watching with the family. And today I went again.... Thanks for helping out with the sneaky pics Ms Allen Have to do this again... and not wait 7 years

24.01.2022 HELP..... It appears that someone has been able to access my Paypal account to clear it out and any payments are being directed to an account which is not mine... I have no idea how this is happening but have contacted PayPal. If you would like to order anything online please message me privately and I will give instructions re payments and delivery. My apologies for this inconvenience.... at a time of total disruption to our world this is one more issue I would rather not have to deal with.

21.01.2022 Just to let you all know that all images have been checked and sorted and are now uploaded to our website www.actioninfocus.com.au. We do not charge to attend regattas or events to photograph, however, we are able to attend because of the support we get by people buying our images. If you like our shots, please consider supporting us and not just taking a screen shot... if you are taking a screen shot to use on your fb page please do not cut off our contact details.... As a... bonus for our first regatta, if you would like digital images we will only charge the price for low res images but supply high res images. Just message me with the image number you want. Had a fantastic time and hope to see you all at many other regattas.

20.01.2022 had an interesting photo shoot today. .... 8 new puppies we knew what we wanted.. if only the puppies knew too. Stay turned for final pics.

18.01.2022 Well another year has come and gone. There was plenty of fun and frivolity as Dragon Boats Queensland celebrated 20 years and also a time of reflection as we remembered those who were no longer with us. I'm sure they were looking down and enjoying the event as much as we were. It was a fantastic championship with new and older clubs taking out their first medals. Some had their very first gold and had to be schooled in what to do for their winning photos.... Nth Queensland... Phoenix lol. It also seemed to be the "year of the tongue" as crews paddled past. Maybe we could have the longest tongue competition too. The volunteers did a tremendous job, as usual, and the boat handlers were especially committed to their tasks... well done and thank you. The weather gods were toying with us.... rain, wind, gales and some sunshine.... not enough to dampen spirits or call off the event. Congratulations to the organisers on another well presented event. 15.01.2022 Yes, in the year of Corona there is finally a Dragon Boat Regatta. While the competition remained intense it was more about starting the long road back to "normal"... Many smiling faces and some interesting "different" events made the Covid Safe regatta a great way to start the season... whatever that proves to be.... Enjoy the pics. Was a little bit busy yesterday LOL.

14.01.2022 Always nice to do something for the first time. Action in Focus attended their first Outrigger Regatta today. Weather was perfect, although there may be some pink skin tomorrow, and the racing was amazing.... 40 plus craft on the water at once meant great competition and the odd amount of carnage... fortunately no major injuries. These are a few samples of the day. I will add a few more tomorrow but after a 4am start the day has been long enough. All images will be on our website www.actioninfocus.com.au all things going well, by the middle of the week. Photographing on a bouncing boat means we need to take a few days to check each image for quality.

14.01.2022 To those clubs used to being covered well by Action in Focus at regattas, my apologies if you were disappointed on the weekend. As mentioned I was there primarily as a paddler with some limited time behind the camera for some promo shots for DBQ. Obviously when on the water I couldn't carry my camera. There was definitely no intention to leave clubs out of photos. When life returns to normal hopefully I will still be around for the coverage you are used to..... :)

11.01.2022 Well, I have just found out that my website, plus attached email, have been out of action for some time. Without going into detail my IT guy is hopefully correcting the issue this weekend as best as can be done. However I am not sure all old events will be up. If there is something you particularly want or have been trying to order please message me.... I apologise for this... it seems 2020 has had some more fun creating havoc.

11.01.2022 Well.... my IT guru has finally sorted out my website issue.... and apparently the associated email malfunction. this is good news... HOWEVER...... I have also found out I have over 48,000 emails backlogged... If you are waiting for an order or a response... I apologize. until very recently I had no idea there was an issue with web site and until this morning did not realize there was an email issue... I am now beginning the sorting process.... I have no idea how long it will take. thank you for your patience and understanding... It has been an interesting year for sure... Stripped bare of many things. Time to reevaluate recover rejuvenate reinvent even... rethink replan rebuild... re... just about every facet of my life ready for the changes...

10.01.2022 Pats on the back everyone. Another year comes and goes. And what a year it continues to be. Sadly Nationals are cancelled. Broadwater cancelled. I can only imagine what else will be corona cancelled..... Hopefully for those travelling to France for the world champs things will have settled by then and you can bring back heaps of bling!! ... For a sports photographer with nothing to shoot..... well I hope we will be back next year but who knows.... 06.01.2022 Amazing weekend photographing the Tweed River Water Ski Club races. Conditions, especially on Sunday, were perfect and glassy. I try to provide value for money and quality images. Don't forget when your USB arrives... you can edit your images. Even just a simple crop can make a good image great. While you are waiting for your USB and images to go to the website here are a few mor...e pics for you have some fun with. Special mention the the team from Sunshine Coast. I believe they were the most successful team of the championships.. well they got the big trophy anyway... yet without fail each time they headed to the start line they were full of fun, laughs, faces and smiles.... well mostly smiles... goes to show your head needs to be in the boat at the start line but you can have fun getting there. And the team who has the most fun can also be the most successful. Sounds like a pretty good life plan too!!! Smile a lot, laugh often, have fun, don't get caught up with the crap people want to throw at you when they see you enjoying yourself. This attitude BREEDS success. And the really successful people have this attitude ..... congratulations everyone. See you at Nationals or next year.... See more
