13.01.2022 We have often been criticised for not self promoting, so in the positive signs of Re Branding, here goes. On our last trek we had the pleasure and ability to re...cycle some extremely valuable pieces of medical equipment. Kim Baggs who had trekked with us last August and who works at the Calvary Mater Hospital in Newcastle had organised for 16 blood pressure machines that where being replaced, to be re used, a few phone calls and we had delivery of them. They do weigh in at 4kg each, so we where kind of limited to amount we could take. What we did do is Stuart and I sacrificed some of our own trekking gear and took 5 over with us. We are so proud that we could deliver these to Popendetta Hospital x 3 and to Kokoda Hospital x 2. We had a lot of fun teaching the staff how to use them and demonstrating just how easy they are, most times. The staff where so excited to receive them that the anaesthetist came out of theatre to see.
