24.01.2022 With the current lockdown in South Australia you may be experiencing increased feelings of stress, worry, isolation or anxiety. These feelings are normal and un...derstandable in these challenging times. There are things that you can do to look after yourself and those around you: Maintain a daily routine as much as you can. Stay connected with family and friends through the phone or online. Stay active - either at home or within your 2.5km radius from home. Look after your physical health - exercise, eat nourishing meals and get plenty of sleep. Practice self-care - do something you enjoy and engage in healthy activities that you find relaxing. Limit your media intake, but keep up to date with accurate and current information from SA Health and SA Police. Access internet or phone based support if you need. Explore digital mental health resources and helpful strategies at www.headtohealth.gov.au/search-resources. 24.01.2022 In my lifetime I have seen trans youth go from being an unknown entity to a cohort that can speak up for themselves and demand support, healthcare and respect,... and I am excited to watch them grow into fulfilled adults who will show us the way. Until then, it’s up to us to create that world for them. Liz Duck-Chong https://www.theguardian.com//mark-lathams-bill-seeks-to-en
