24.01.2022 Wishing all students, parents and instructors a safe and Happy New Year. What are your new year’s resolutions? Train more? Invite friends and family to join you in your journey with Action Tae Kwon-Do? Remember, it’s easy to talk about new goals and promises but another thing to make them happen. Use the lessons, wisdom and guidance from your instructors to help you achieve your new year’s resolutions in 2021. Don’t talk about it, don’t ignore it, don’t find reasons why they ...can’t work, find reasons to make them work and make it happen. Be the black belt. 22.01.2022 This year has been a tricky year for all but a good reminder to us, to make sure to focus on the positives instead of letting the negatives take over our lives. It's important for us all to be flexible, understanding and kind to each other especially during a year like this. Action has had to work incredibly hard behind the scenes to be able to run our classes and especially, to run our grading the other week. After the grading we received some really positive feedback from ...many students and parents. To paraphrase one parent's comments to an instructor: Action is not just about the kicking and punching, it is more than that. It is about the culture you have fostered and instil in your students. Listening, respect, following instructions, being timely, being dedicated and working hard, being strong and overcoming failure and setbacks, even the responsibility of washing and ironing your uniform and remembering to bring your training card. All these different principles and more, help to develop confident, strong, and respectful children, adults and leaders in our community. This is what Action Tae Kwon-Do is about. This is why we continue to make sure to run our classes despite any setbacks and strive to be positive role models in our community. We look forward to seeing you on the floor, 1.5m apart.

Make sure you wear your jackets, not your t-shirts with your belt on before you leave the house. Please bring your training cards to sign in on the day. Only one parent/guardian per student spectating. Remember, please turn up 15 minutes early and if you’re late to the grading, your rank may have already graded meaning you’ll need to wait three months ...for the next grading. This week during class will be your last opportunity to sign up. The grading will be held at Namadgi School in Kambah - 141 O’Halloran Circuit. ... All grading times are different to usual so please carefully read your grading emails, check our website via the link below and talk to your instructor. 18.01.2022 Opening Dates for 2021 Headquarters Only: Monday 4th January - Thursday 7th January 1 Currie Crescent Kingston) Times:... Monday & Wednesday: Children 6pm, Adults 7pm Tuesday and Thursday: Adults 6:30pm This will be a great opportunity to do some holiday training before your usual classes resume. All evening classes return to normal starting Monday 11th January. Even though it's holidays get down to the gym, wish your instructor a happy new year and get back into training for 2021. After School Classes Resume Friday 29th January. From Friday 29th January, all after school classes will resume. Jerrabomberra 3pm will resume on Friday 29th January and all other after school classes will resume from Monday 1st February. Fully reopened 1 February, see you on the floor.

17.01.2022 Red Belt Black Belt Training Friday Night To all red belts, black belts and instructors. Friday night is training for you, 6pm at Headquarters in the hall (1 Currie Crescent). This will be your opportunity to demonstrate your skills to the Master Instructor and train with the elite students. Remember, the black belts are there to push you, but as well, to help you achieve. The only difference between you and them is when it got hard they didn't give up.... See you on the floor.

17.01.2022 Important Message - Harrison Students The school has asked to use the gym for the next two Tuesdays: 1st December & 8th December. We will move from the Gym to the Senior PATS building (previous location) for these two Tuesdays. Please follow signs when you arrive, check school map at entrance to school (next to administration building), or ask your child (they will know where it is). 16.01.2022 Grading Sunday 14th March The grading is coming around quick on Sunday 14th March. Make sure you are talking to your instructor about the grading, the time, the location and arrangements for COVID. If you are ready to grade then please register as soon as you can. Please note, the location and date may change at the last minute to Saturday 13th March at Namadgi School in Kambah. This will happen if there are complications due to COVID. 16.01.2022 What a class last night. Well done to those that were training and making the efforts to not only improve their skills but themselves as well. Remember, Action isn't just about the physical skills, it's the approach to life, the discipline, the confidence, the respect, learning to get up when you get knocked down and so much more. 10.01.2022 Another fantastic grading. Well done to the 100s of families that successfully navigated the complexities of a COVID-19 grading. A lot of work went into being able to run the grading, and we really appreciate your understanding during these trying times. Congratulations to all the successful students. For many of you, you've had to adapt to changed training conditions this year, but nonetheless you have continued to train hard and overcome these difficulties. Well done.... A special congratulations to those who passed their black belt grading. A true example of proper black belts who even when they fail, get back up, don't quit, train harder and smash the boards. Well done. You will find out your results during the week when you next scan your training card. The end of the year is just around the corner. 10.01.2022 Last Chance to Register for the Grading - Sunday 15th November The grading is in 3 days. If you haven't signed up yet and you are ready, make sure you do so with your instructor as soon as possible. You must register prior to attending on Sunday. There are classes on Saturday mornings in both Kingston and Amaroo at 10am for children and 11am for adults if you want to get in some extra practice. Remember, black belts were beginners too. 07.01.2022 All evening and Saturday classes will start back up today. After school classes will resume from Friday 29th January. Now is a good time to remind yourself of your new years resolutions. It's easy to make promises to yourself but it's another thing to make them happen. Maybe it's a lifestyle change, a fitness goal, a new outlook, a new skill or perhaps even a new belt? Whatever your goals nothing comes for free. Hard work, determination and discipline will be what sees your g...oals come to fruition. With training starting back today it will be a good opportunity to discuss your goals with your Instructor. They can help guide you to achieve your goals. 05.01.2022 Will this be you at our next grading? Or perhaps you in months or years to come? The only difference between this impressive black belt and a beginner is that they have been training longer, harder and made the time to get to class. When something got in the way they prioritised their training. It's easy to be committed to something when it's convenient but if you make time for your training or the things in your life that are important, then you will benefit greatly. If yo...u want the skills then get to class. The only thing stopping you is YOU. Our next grading is just around the corner on the 15th November. 05.01.2022 We have two weeks of action packed training left. The last class for 2020 is Thursday 17th December. These last two weeks will be an opportunity to get in that last bit of training, wish your instructor a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and pick up one of our 2021 Calendars. In January, the first week back will take place ONLY at Headquarters in Kingston: Monday 4th - Thursday 7th January (see times below). This means if you train in another gym then get down to Kingsto...n for this first week. There will be someone special taking class and it will be a great opportunity to try a new centre. From the 11th January onwards, all evening and Saturday classes return. After school classes in 2021 will resume when the school term restarts, starting Friday 29th January (Jerrabomberra). 03.01.2022 Senior Instructor Connor Maguire undertook his 3rd degree grading test last night in front of instructors, at instructors training. With out a doubt Senior Instructor Connor passed. Congratulations and well done.
