24.01.2022 Yesterday I had my first experience treating a Peruvian hairless dog. A very cute and very energetic little pup (the blue tape was just to cover her dew claws so she didn't scratch her owner with lots of happy and energetic pawing)

23.01.2022 High level core stability and balance tasks... a lot of gradual progression would have been required to achieve this level of proficiency... hopefully these dogs didnt have any injuries along the way requiring physiotherapy.....

20.01.2022 As I know many of you were keenly awaiting the arrival of Ranis foal with me, the Christmas period has brought mixed news. With great sadness, the love of my life Rhani passed away on Sunday night 29th Dec during a second colic surgery. She has brought me great joy over the last 7 years, and we have shared many adventures together, from her first ride many years ago to beginning steps of piaffe in the later stages of 2019, waiting to greet me coming home everyday for scratc...hes and most importantly dinner as well as being a fantastic horseback archery horse. She has left behind Seraphina a beautiful filly born uneventfully on Christmas Day. Rani started coliking in the evening, underwent an initial colic surgery on Boxing Day that went well but unfortunately started to become painful again in the early hours of Sunday morning, despite receiving the very best hospital care. With deep regret that she went before her time, and is not able to raise her Filly for whom she already cared deeply after only a few too short days, and the loss of many other hopes and dreams, I hope the she runs free now in greener pastures with lots of grass... Seraphina came home on the weekend, with a foster mare Allie and they are settling in well at home. Steph See more

15.01.2022 Just a thanks to all the service dogs out there!

12.01.2022 In my trip to California for EQ Saddle Science Ive had the privilege of meeting some wonderful dogs, as you do in the very dog friendly city. This is Wriggly the Great Pyrenees dog - my first time meeting one of these in my career as an animal physio. This breed of dog like many herding dogs is often misunderstood in the capacity as guardians and herders thus are frequently re-homed like Wriggly. His owner Jacqui looks after Wriggly so well. Gorgeous Wriggly is Mr February in the Oakland Coffee Dogs 2020 calendar!

12.01.2022 Dogs are athletes, like all athletes physio can help them rip a trail like this pup.. # traildog

07.01.2022 Back to earth after spending a busy ten days in California with Carmi Weininger and colleagues at EQ Saddle Science learning more about these revolutionary flapless saddles. (Flaps can be attached for competition). These saddles reduce pressure on the horses back and allow freedom of the horses shoulder blade movement. The saddles give the rider very close contact to the horse. This is all backed by excellent scientific research. Contact us for a test ride.... Once youve gone flapless its hard to go back!

01.01.2022 Kiara is a very resilient little dog. Car accident left her with a spinal fracture so she had to have plates and screws put in her spine. She does so well with her home exercise programme that her awesome owners do with her every day. Here she is after her physio appointment today looking very relaxed in the sun. Also a picture of her in her coat (at home)...she does feel the cold!
