15.01.2022 WEIGHT TRAINING The amount of ladies I have had say to me I don’t want to get bulky when we speak about weight training is madness. It actually extremely difficult for women to build bulk muscle mass. It’s hard for us to even build lean muscle mass. Women produce drastically lower levels of testosterone than men which is why we don’t build muscle as quickly as males. The women you see absolutely jacked on Instagram didn’t get that way in a week, a month or even a yea...r. It can take years of consistently adhering to a relevant eating plan, and hours and hours of hard work in the gym. Some also use anabolic steroids - so don’t let what you see on the internet misguide you. Weight training is great for not only building lean muscle mass but helps increase bone density and reduce the risk of injury, improves joint health, reduces the risk of heart disease and diabetes, can aid in weight loss (provided you’re in a caloric deficit), enhances your mood and is a great stress relief! My suggestion would be to pick a few push/pull/hinge resistance exercises you enjoy and work on perfecting your technique through each of these movements. 11.01.2022 Some people get bored of the basics.... but I can’t get enough! There really is no better feeling than the achievement of something becoming second nature after doing it over and over. Once it sticks, it sticks. One thing we always say at @gsixkincumber is that no one is ever too good to go over the basics. Our Phase 1 G-Six Chicks are going over some basic fundamentals and they will continue to revisit these basics throughout the entire 8 weeks and in Phase 2. Our Phase 1 ladies have already shown us in the first 2 sessions they are determined and keen to learn, they are also a very coordinated bunch which makes our job even easier #gsixboxing #gsixchicks #ladiesboxing #boxing #centralcoast #kincumber
