19.01.2022 Good News! We are now open for enrolments for Active OOSH Taree Christian College. Note that the centre's 1st day of operations will be Monday the 1st February ...(the second day of school). For new enrolments, go to https://www.activeoosh.com.au/enrol-now. Be sure to click on the "Start Enrolment" button next to your child's name once you have registered, as this will take you to the enrolment form itself. If your child/ren are already enrolled at one of our other Centre's, all you need to do is log into my family lounge (https://www.activeoosh.com.au/enrol-now), once you are logged in, click on the "View Enrolment" button next to your child's name. Then, click on the little green plus sign on the top left. This will take you to an interactive map where you can either search by the centre name, or by postcode. Once you have the option, tick Taree Christian College and "Save". You will then need to scroll down to the bottom of the form and accept the CCS agreement as well before you click "Submit". Once the enrolment has come through to us, someone will be in touch with you to discuss what type of booking you require (permanent or casual) and which days and sessions you would like. If you have any trouble with the form or the process, or just want to ask a few more questions about us and our service, please call our head office phone on 0407 903 979.

Overview: As the educational assistant for Active OOSH you’ll work closely with the Educational Le...ader, other educators, children, families and school communities to develop and deliver programs aligned with the children’s interests. Your success will ensure that our services can provide a safe and engaging place for children, thereby assisting parents in juggling the demands of work and hours that do not line up with the school day. Requirements: To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following: Experience working with school aged children and/or in childcare preferred. Training & Clearance: Hold a current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate (or be willing to obtain). Hold a current Working With Children Check (or be willing to obtain). Skills: Have a working knowledge of the My Time Our Place & National Quality Framework (or be willing to learn). Characteristics: High energy and a passion for fun! Be intrinsically motivated with high social and emotional intelligence skills. Be passionate, friendly and approachable. Have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work unsupervised. Responsibilities: Ensure appropriate supervision; Perform in an assistant leadership role and take responsibility when needed; Build rapport with parents/carers; Assist to ensure health and safety requirements; Help to provide a warm, child-friendly, inviting and hygienic environment; Assist in ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and managed effectively; and Assist in the planning and organisation of fun activities that are aligned with our children's interests.

15.01.2022 What lovely weather to dampen our spirits right before Christmas (we do appreciate the rain though). Wet weather and illnesses go hand in hand, today we had a number of upset tummies so we are kindly asking that if any children are feeling under the weather to please keep them home to be on the mend faster. We are restricted to mostly indoor play and with it comes greater risk to spread germs. Our team of educators are working tirelessly to stay on top of the infection con...trol and hygiene standards that we set. We can’t do it all without your help though! Please assist by letting staff know on 0499258875 if your child is feeling unwell so we can make the following arrangements! Thanks so much everyone, it has been a very busy start to the holidays and although restrictions are creeping back in, we will ALL do our very best to make sure everyone has a safe and happy day everyday they step into our care!!!

15.01.2022 What a warm day this turned out to be! Sports day had to be enjoyed early with basketball, touch footy and soccer all being enjoyed before we cranked the beautiful air cons and watched the movie Brave. Our Wonder Woman Ness was requested to give us more face paintings today so once again everyone lined up for a request that made the day for plenty of our friends! Being lined up seemed like a frequent thing today as we had ice cream lines, pizza lines and playgym lines all ...cycling around to everyone. As we wind down another fantastic vacation care period we would love feedback from you (our awesome families!) how can we improve? What works for you etc etc. I will think up a big post tomorrow to recap the past two weeks and have some prompting questions that I would really appreciate all the feedback I get on it. 14.01.2022 We are expecting very hot weather this summer, so there will be a "No Hat No Outside Play" policy across our centres. Please make sure your child's hat as a wide brim (no caps).

10.01.2022 That’s a wrap on another wonderful vacation holiday! Today’s click and collect day saw our friends treated to a variety of toys and equipment. Everyone who was at the service left with an item of their choosing! Spy movie, bbq and a fun filled day made sure we had smiles all round! That brings our vacation care to an end as we start next week back into before and after school care! We would love to thank all of the families that took the effort and time once again to help ou...t with donations and their time! Unfortunately due to restrictions we are unable to have our regular excursions but honestly we have been able to really connect with everyone more personally as we treated the service as a home away from home, and it has been amazing! From me I’d like to give a quick shout out and thankyou to the staff; - Ness - Dean - Harry - Mitch - Stacy - Noah - Emily Without the above and beyond effort these educators put in the service wouldn’t be as awesome as it is! So thanks guys! I will endeavor to put up a larger post to recap the smaller details of our past two weeks to get some feedback from everyone! Atm it’s dinner time and finals footy so I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and we will see you all back at school on Monday!!

06.01.2022 Good Morning Families, In light of the recent NSW Health COVID-19 update. We are urging all families who have visited areas displayed on the NSW Public Health Alert list to not attend our services prior to completing 14 day self isolation or providing our service with a negative COVID test result. We ask that all families who are attending care to please drop your child off at our service gate where one of our educators will be stationed to check your child's temperature pri...or to be signing into care. Upon collecting your child from care please contact the service and an educator will bring your child to you. Our educators will continue to be vigilant with hand hygiene and social distancing measures. 03.01.2022 Hello families, our Wonder Woman Ness has now got the stage where any day now she is expecting a beautiful little girl! Ness will be off for a little while on maternity leave but has reassured all of us and the children she will be back and she will visiting quite regularly! Ness is a relentless hard worker that makes sure every single child is cared for at the highest of standards, her smile and laughter will definitely be missed but we wish her all the best through this period and can’t wait to see her back!
