25.01.2022 Unfortunately for healthcare professionals, such as dietitians complaining about the amount of unqualified 'wellness gurus' flooding market and confusing the public with fad diets and un-substantiated health advice can sound like a case of sour grapes. In many cases it doesn't actually harm, and everyone is entitled to make their own choices, but every now and then - it is really dangerous, especially in the case of treating cancer, childhood illnesses and autism. Don't be fooled, as much as these self proclaimed experts may incite conspiracy theories about dietary guidelines and the business of 'Big 'Pharma' - pseudoscience is also a multimillion dollar business. Until they get caught out as frauds, that is.

21.01.2022 Unless you have an allergy to them - dairy foods have an anti-inflammatory effect on the body - the opposite on what many 'wellness warriors' claim. As such it makes for an excellent recovery drink after a hard run or workout. #foodnotfads
20.01.2022 Two different breakfasts of coffee and Bircher muesli on two different days, both delicious, both with fresh strawberries, apple matchsticks and a good dose of cinnamon. Yummy. I don't normally put cinnamon in my recipe, but I've been won over and will do from now on. It can be difficult to separate fact from fiction given the amount of misinformation on the internet but be critical of what you read, especially if it is likely to effect the health or wellbeing of you or your loved ones. Science is science - and is constantly challenging itself. It doesn't need to be sensationalised. If you read something - that it trying to instil fear, makes accusations or uses inflammatory language or conspiracy theories - it probably just propaganda.
