16.01.2022 URGENT DONATIONS NEEDED To all of our loyal and wonderful cat loving supporters! We are in trouble again and we need your help. As a shelter who are a d...edicated to keeping our euthanasia rate as low as possible we urgently need your help to treat a number of serious cases we have in our vet hospital at the moment. We are currently treating cats with broken hips, fractured legs, a fractured pelvis, cats with campylobacter (which can be up to a month of treatment) cats with calicivirus and cats who have required urgent eye and dental surgery. We want to give all of these cats the best chance at recovering and finding a loving home but we need your help! Treating these cases is very costly to Cat Haven often in the thousands of dollars especially when we have to send the cats to external vets for specialist surgeries or emergency care. If you are able to make a donation to help these felines and many more who come to Cat Haven on a daily basis requiring urgent medical attention please make a secure and safe donation by clicking the pink donate button on our website http://www.cathaven.com.au Please share this post. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Thank you so much for your help once again See more

16.01.2022 KITTEN SEASON HAS ARRIVED Now that the weather is warmer unsterilised cats have started to breed. Sadly this means newborn and young kittens will start arr...iving at Cat Haven on a daily basis. These kittens were born only yesterday and have arrived without a mother which means round the clock care until they are weaned. The summer months are our busiest time of year and all of our staff, volunteers & foster carers work tirelessly to help the most vulnerable kittens and cats who need our help. As you can imagine high numbers of kittens and cats mean our resources are extremely stretched so we are asking for your help. Please consider donating to Cat Haven on a regular basis. Even just $10 a month makes a huge difference to the tiniest felines. You can sign up via the pink donate button on our website www.cathaven.com.au See more

09.01.2022 TO THE PERSON WHO ADOPTED "NIBBLES" (see photo) from CAT HAVEN (PERTH WA), You may not be aware that Nibbles is actually called Indie. She was rescued together ...with her brother "Phoenix" (they were inseparable) from an acquaintance of Indie & Phoenix's owner as they were a surprise pregnancy and needed safe and loving homes. Phoenix is scheduled to have his microchipping and desexing done tomorrow (Wed 27/03) and Indie is meant to be at that appt too. Indie/Nibbles' owner was away on FIFO work when Indie accidentally escaped out the back door. Someone picked her up and called the ranger who took her away in a van at 6pm on Tues 12/03. The owner arrived home late on 14/03 and called rangers and Cat Haven. Both denied having seen a black kitten. The owner then went in to the council in person and they eventually found a note that said Indie had been transferred to Cat Haven. The owner called Cat Haven again and they again said they did not have a black kitten. Then someone sent her a screenshot of her cat being advertised by Cat Haven later that night. The owner then went into Cat Haven and was shown through Sheds 1 & 2 for a reclaim, but Indie/Nibbles wasn't there. >> Cat Haven then checked paperwork again and then they said yes we had her but she has been adopted. The owner begged and pleaded with Cat Haven to contact adopter and even appealed to the CEO and they refused. Phoenix is missing his sister terribly and Indie will be missing him and her owner who had loved and raised her for 5 months. Feelings and love don't go away just because an animal finds itself in a new home. As you can see, a massive comedy of errors and administrative detail have led to this sad, sad situation. Please consider contacting us anonymously and giving Indie/Nibbles back to her owner, brother and home. Owner is happy to reimburse you for all expenses so you can adopt another cat that genuinely needs a home

08.01.2022 Babysitting this one tonight

08.01.2022 Beautiful winter morning

07.01.2022 Did you know I also look after cats. For as little as $15 a day I can feed, play or change their kitty litter while you are away.

07.01.2022 Can not get enough of these two

05.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW THAT IT'S ILLEGAL TO SELL KITTENS UNLESS YOU ARE A REGISTERED BREEDER OR A CHARITY. One of our lovely clients bought this little fella for $50 from... a private home. The conditions he was in were appaling so she felt she just had to get him away from there. She had no idea that the kitten was so young it was still feeding off it's mother and had never eaten solid food. His baby teeth hadn't even come through. When he wasnt able to feed himself we asked one of our wonderful, highly experienced, foster carers to help him along his way. Now he is loving his roast chicken and will back home with his new Mum soon. Unless you are a registered breeder or a charity you can no longer breed and sell kittens. It's all in the name of trying to reduce the numbers of unwanted cats in our community. If you would like a kitten please contact Impound Feline Rescue, Armadale Community Animal Rescue Group, Perth Rescue Angels, Saving Animals Matters and Cat Haven. They have so many lovely cats and kittens that need loving homes.
