24.01.2022 Hi everyone. Due to the current situation in Colac regarding Covid cases, I am asking that if you have been tested, are living with someone who has been tested or you think that your situation requires you to be tested, then please let me know and do not attend your lesson until the results are through. I am happy to reschedule any lesson. Stay safe. Please share and pass this message on.

20.01.2022 Great news for young drivers with a vehicle. This will come into effect in the new year and to be eligible you need to set up a myvicroads account via the Vic Roads web site.

13.01.2022 Hi all, Just a reminder that at the moment under Stage 3/4 restrictions until further notice we are only taking appointments for people who have successfully applied for exemption/hardship drive tests booked through Vic Roads. We are attempting to the best of our ability to work through the current backlog of these tests and hoping that soon we will be able to accomodate all new drivers and honour gift vouchers. We anticipate this will be only for the next few weeks. Cheers, Paul.

12.01.2022 Hi all. Driving lessons will resume in the short term in a limited capacity. If your lessons aren’t urgent and you are not yet able to go for your driving test, then please reschedule your lesson to a future date until our situation here in Colac settles down a bit. For those attending, II ask that you follow DHHS guidelines in relation to the wearing of masks, washed hands, sanitisation and if you are feeling unwell, please do not attend. Also further to the last post, if you have been tested for Covid or are living with someone who has been tested or feel you need to be tested, then also please reschedule. Sorry about this but we all need to do the right thing and keep everyone safe.

11.01.2022 Please be advised that lessons will be suspended for the remainder of this week at least. At this stage testing is still be conducted at Vic Roads and will continue to until further notice. Driving lessons with an instructor are still allowed but we are waiting on results from tested students so its in the best interest of all to take a small break. Cheers, Paul.

11.01.2022 If you are just starting on your Ls this is now mandatory. Even if you are using a log book with low hours or many hours you can still use this app just by transferring your hours across. No more losing log books or having to get signatures. Its all just a click away for the learner driver and supervising driver.

11.01.2022 Anyone having a voucher for free lessons from the 2017 football/netball season and needing a lesson, we will be extending the expiry date and honouring those vouchers until the end January. So please make your booking early. Cheers.

10.01.2022 Hi all. A big shout out to all who attended our defensive course on Sunday. We had our largest groups ever attend and it was great to see so many parents involved. Thanks to Colac Otway Roadsafe and Driver Dynamics for making this possible as we believe all students would have taken some very valuable information from the session and apply it to become safe drivers for life. If you attended or know someone who attended, can you please leave a short review for us on this page to get a gauge on what we can do to improve the day further as we will be conducting more in the future. Cheers.

10.01.2022 Hi all, Any queries regarding the return to testing, please let me know. If you are in need of a lead up lesson, dont hesitate to call as vacancies will fill fast. NB, I may need to change lessons already booked in to accomodate for the drive tests.

10.01.2022 Hi all, It is with deep regret that as of today Active Driving School will be suspending all driving lessons and tests with students until further notice. The decision comes in the wake of the current situation around the world and due to Vic Roads postponing all testing including learner permits, hazard perception tests and drive tests. We will be personally advising all students who have current bookings accordingly. This is not a decision taken lightly as we all need to ...be aware of whats being told to us and adhering to the measures set for us. This means it is an indefinite shutdown and we are unclear of when we will resume. In the mean time, please stay safe and if you are driving, please drive carefully. Thanks to all students and their families for supporting us over a very long period time.

09.01.2022 An affordable and useful Chrissy present for the learner driver in your family. Just call to arrange.

07.01.2022 Wanting a free lesson? Check out the Keys2Drive web page and sign up to get your free driving lesson.

06.01.2022 With school exams and the end of school just around the corner, please keep in mind that you may need to book in early for your lessons and tests to avoid a long wait. If you are preparing for your drive test, please let Active Driving School know prior to making your booking so you dont double book over the top of someone else as you may have to reschedule your test. At the moment there is approximately a 4-5 week wait for your drive test here in Colac. Safe driving everyone.

05.01.2022 This pic has to go VIRAL!

03.01.2022 Hi all, The measures announced today are somewhat confusing to the driver instructor industry. Until we have complete clarification from Vic Roads that they will be starting up drive tests and computer based tests, then we will not be conducting lessons. Maybe stage 2, which will be announced in approx 3 weeks, will have more clarity. But we assure you we want to start up as soon as practicable. Stay tuned because as we know, things change each day and we know kids are ...itching to get their licence and get on the road. Stay safe.
