24.01.2022 It’s time to come back to classes......
21.01.2022 A nice short one this morning. You can get this workout done in 20 mins or so. You will need an interval timer. I suggest downloading the free App Gymboss. This is a HIIT workout. How it works. There are 4 sets of 2 exercises: Set 1 ... In and out squat jumps Jumping bear crawls Set 2 Glute bridges Glute bridge hold Set 3 Staggered stance push ups Plank hold Set 4 Butterfly sit-ups Leg lowers You complete 4 rounds of each set working 20 secs on followed by a 10 secs rest. So 20 sec squats jumps, 10 sec rest, 20 sec bear crawls, 10 sec rest, 20 sec squat jump etc... Back to back 4 times (a total of 4 minutes). Then have a 30 sec rest before starting Set 2 then Set 3 finishing with Set 4. If you are feeling energetic you can run back through it - starting with Set 4 and ending with Set 1. You can muck around with the time. For this to be effective you have to really push yourself for the 20 sec work period - you should be sweating. Otherwise you can increase the time to 30 sec and give yourself a 15 sec rest period. I like to count my reps first round and see if I can match it each subsequent round. 19.01.2022 Another wonderful training morning! Thank you to my clients for turning up in the frost. If you are thinking about it give it a go! It is always easy on these cold mornings to think that staying in bed is the better option. I promise you the thought of getting up and exercising is way worse than doing it! Put your clothes out the night before and get your water bottle, keys and towel and chuck them on the kitchen table ready to go. I promise you won’t regret it! We had sunsh...ine and kookaburras. And can now enjoy that great post workout feeling that sets the tone for the day. So give it a go! Lin xx
19.01.2022 Fantastic first week back in the shed. What a luxury training indoors is! Thank you to all my clients this week. For adapting so well to some necessary covid changes, staying away when you were sick and turning up in the dark! We woke up some muscles and rekindled our fitness friendships. Great stuff. ... All indoor classes are booked but if you are interested there is a wait list. I do have spaces available in the outdoor Saturday classes which will continue to run for the next two weeks. I’d love to see some new faces! Lin xx

Classes for this Saturday 6.6.20 8am - HIIT... 9am - Strength and Stretch Classes are held at Baarmutha Park netball courts and are weather dependant. $10 per class special. 18.01.2022 I hope you enjoyed the last video! I had a great response so here is another one for you to try. All you need is a mat and a sense of humour. Please do a warm up and dynamic stretch first and a cool down and stretch after. Work at your own pace and always listen to your body especially if these moves are new to you. There are 5 exercises. Do 10 reps of each exercise. Take a 1 minute breather between rounds. Do 5 rounds.... Exercises: *Star jump squats - these suckers hurt! Try to look elegant....Ha! If these are too high impact for you try a body weight squat instead. *Reverse lunges - 10 each leg please people. *Lateral walk push ups - knees are fine here. *Reverse burpees - tricky but very rewarding once you get them. Some people find crossing their legs at the ankles helps as you can push off the sides of your feet. Otherwise just take them to sitting. *Side plank hold - 30 seconds each side. Have fun and let me know how much you loved it!

12.01.2022 Wow! How good was this morning?! Perfect weather, great people and some movement and laughs in the sun. Thank you to everyone for coming. Great way to start the day though I do have a feeling my legs might be a teeny bit sore tomorrow.... I hope to run these classes each Saturday, weather permitting until restrictions ease and I can reopen the shed. Let me know if you are interested! Have a great weekend! P.s: There were two water bottle left - a black steel one and a clear bottle with a black lid. Let me know if you own one!
12.01.2022 To my awesome clients, as most of you have probably predicted all classes will be cancelled as of tomorrow. A tiny bit annoyed we couldn't stretch another week to finish the Term off but lets just see it as an extended holiday. For those who have paid for the term a credit will be rolled over to use when we start up again - that is a definite WHEN not an IF! Fitness is big picture business and this hiccup will not defeat us! In the meantime, my plan:... For the next 3 weeks: I am going to spend my time regrouping, focusing on my kids and my loved ones, eating well, exercising regularly, patting my dog and spending as much time in nature and away from my phone as I can. I recommend you do the same. After that: I hope of offer some free at home workouts to keep you fit and healthy whilst we ride out the storm. And that goal list I have - watch out peeps because I will be writing each of you a personalised program on how to crush that goal from home! I would also like to thank each and everyone of you for your support and the great company you offer every class - I will miss each of you more than you could possibly know! Hang in there! 12.01.2022 Hi all! I hope you are all enjoying being back to outdoor fitness classes and getting the body moving. I know I am loving seeing some old faces again! Outdoor training is awesome and what a time of year to do it! But outdoor training means minimal or no equipment which means no weights! My first fitness love is lifting heavy things and I know some of you are missing weights too. So.... I am thinking of trialing small group PT weight training in the gym. ... Who would be interested? Class size would be limited to 4-5 due to covid restrictions. So you would have to be committed - no late cancellations pls! Thinking of a mid morning Tuesday class but another day might work too. If you’re interested let me know!

08.01.2022 It looks like outdoor fitness classes of 10 participants will be allowed with the relaxing of lockdown restrictions for regional Victoria! Great news and isn’t this weather just perfect for a bit of outdoor fitness fun! I will update everyone on the classes I plan to run soon. Bookings will be essential given the cap of 10 and preference will be given to those who have paid upfront for last term. I can’t wait to see you all. ... I will be in touch! Lin xx

06.01.2022 So back to lockdown! Disappointing but lockdown we must so here is the deal for now: Tuesday 4th August 6pm class will run as planned. You will need to wear a mask to class. The mask can be removed for the duration of the class but you will need to pop it back on for our stretch/cool down at the end. This will be the last class for the time being.... It seems my upfront payment for this term was a bit premature.... You have a couple of options here: 1. Request a refund (minus last weeks classes), or 2. Keep the classes up your sleeve for when we open up again. Just let me know your preference! For those who haven't paid for this term please do not pay now. For those who are behind in payment if you could please pay for the classes you have attended I would be very grateful! I will be offering one to one outdoor PT sessions. I can come to you or we can work out in my carport like the good old days. Let me know if you are interested! Hold fast little dears. We will get through this! Stay safe. Lin xx

05.01.2022 My first fitness video! Super exciting! Also a little daunting - my workout face is weird! I probably should have put a bit of mascara on or something....but seriously our bodies are instruments not ornaments - we are here to work not look pretty! So here is the deal: 10 exercises. 12 reps each. As little rest as possible between exercises. Take a minute rest between sets. Complete three times and you are done! All you need is a mat and a chair. No excuses!... Remember to do a warm up and dynamic stretch prior to starting. Exercises: Squats Jump squats or pulse squats Split squats (12 each side please). You can also do a stationary reverse lunge here instead Chair pose - count to 30...slowly.... Tricep dips on the chair Push ups Mountain climbers (that's 24 movements) Bicycle crunches (24 again..) Reverse crunches then..... Max burpees - as many as you can. Write down your number. Repeat 3x through. Then pass out with a smile on your face. A good cool down and stretch after please! Work at your own pace - any movement is better than no movement! 5 good quatlity reps is better than 12 sh*t ones! Let me know how you go! Make me proud! xx
03.01.2022 A new workout for you! This was filmed inside by Charlie because homeschool life. Watch it for the fitness or for the cute kids! A nice and simple body weight circuit. All you need is a mat. 7 exercises with a finisher at the end of each round. You know I love a finisher! Great one to do with the kids. So 10 reps of each exercise with minimal rest between each exercise.... Squat + side leg raise Curtsey lunge (10 each leg) - if your knees don't like these replace with a reverse lunge Reverse burpees Single leg lowers - remember to ensure your lower back has good contact with the ground Shoulder tap plank + reverse push up - the slower the better. Do 5 planks and 5 reverse push ups back to back. Donkey kicks - 10 each leg Half burpees - keep your bum down! Finisher!!!! 20 seconds of each exercise, back to back: Squats, squat jumps, burpees and then chair pose. OUCH!! Take a 1 minute rest between each round. Complete three rounds. Then pancake..... As I’m sure you have heard some restrictions have been lifted. Hooray! Outdoor group meetings including outdoor bootcamps are now permitted as long as social distancing and strict hygiene rules are adhered to. Bootcamps can run with up to 10 participants (plus an instructor). ... While I will be unable to return to my normal class schedule just yet I was thinking of running a couple of outdoor sessions on Saturday mornings, if there is interest. I am still finalising an outdoor area but classes will most likely be held at baarmutha park netball courts. Any other suggestions welcome! People would need to bring their own mats. If you need a mat i can lend you one but I would ask that you use a towel on top. I will provide hand sanitiser. Classes will be body weight based classes to limit sharing equipment. I was thinking the 8am class class would be a HIIT class and the 9am class a lower impact strength and stretch class. Happy to consider other ideas if you have them! Classes will be offered at the discounted rate of $10 a session. This will hopefully reduce money handling. You are also welcome to direct deposit if you prefer. 02.01.2022 Classes start next week! Yay!!! Classes will be held outdoors and are limited to 10 participants but I'm so excited to get back into it! I will be offering the following classes starting next week! (with the exception of Tuesday 6pm class which will start on the 13.10.20):... Tuesday 6:30am - Strength and Stretch Tuesday 6pm - Body Weight Beast Thursday 6:30am - Body Weight Beast Friday 6:30am - Strength and Stretch Saturday 8am - HIIT Saturday 9am - Strength and Stretch If you were booked into my classes prior to lockdown I have sent to you msg. If you haven't received one please let me know! If you paid upfront for Term 3 you will be given preference to the class you were previously booked into and your credit will roll across to this term. If you do not have a credit the cost is $12/class. I am shortening the classes to 45 mins as they are being held outdoors and spring be crazy! Most classes are pretty booked but if you are interested in a spot please send me a msg. I'll have a wait list as I'm sure lots of people will be escaping for little breaks now that we can!
