Routine - we offer sessions at the same time on the same day every week. Our booking calendar allows our clients to set aside a time and get in routine with their training on a weekly basis. 2. Accountability - we hold all our members accountable. It’s much easier to skip out on a workout if you are training on your own. Each of our members have made friends with one another where they expect you to show up every session. 3. Healthy competition - most people have a competitive nature when it comes to exercise, so when our members are watching one another work hard and push themselves it encourages them to push for an extra rep or two. 4. Interesting- all our group sessions offer a variety of exercises using a variety of equipment. From barbells, to kettlebells, dumbbells, heavy medicine balls and sleds to everything in between. By adding in AMRAP’s, Dense Strength & EMOM’s (to name a few) into our monthly programming, allows each member to utilise their time in each session efficiently. 08.01.2022 We train females too! As a matter of fact, all of the ladies that train at Active Habits get incredible results. At Active Habits, our primary focus is to get stronger on compound exercises by progressive overload in each programming block. Unlike other HIIT classes that only burn calories for the duration of the session, we lift weights! Lifting weights will break down muscle tissue forcing the body to work more efficiently even at rest. We encourage the ladies ...to get stronger on each programming block on our set compound exercises to accelerate muscle growth (toning as some ladies refer to), resulting in more definition and reduced stubborn fat. We also train with high frequency. Studies have shown the females respond better to higher frequency training as compared to higher volume training. Instead of training legs once a week, we will program legs for 3-4 times a week. Lucky for the ladies at Active Habits we program full-body days so that their booty gains keep coming Metabolic conditioning is a term referred to the amount of work capacity done within a duration of time. This is subjected but not limited to things such as KB Complexes, Circuits, AMRAPS, EMOM’s & Tabata.
