25.01.2022 You can learn about biomechanics, macronutrients, the effects of sleep deprivation and training splits for optimising body composition. Heck you can become a walking health and fitness encyclopaedia if that tickles your pickle. Good luck applying all of that information if you’re not passionate about helping people. ... They are literally investing in you to improve their QUALITY OF LIFE. Whether you choose to believe it or not, that is a massive deal. With this in mind, every early start and late finish is an absolute treat. All the hours on your feet, counting reps, writing programs, check ins with clients and riding every high and low with them along the way is worth it. Whatever you decide to do in life, be passionate about it. Immerse yourself in it. Live and breath this shit every day. What a time it is. See you on the gym floor #makeitcount

25.01.2022 Just a gentle reminder that it’s okay if you’re not always losing weight, gaining muscle, getting stronger or living like a health freak. Look after yourself and your health by all means. But don’t let it consume you. Take a step back every now and then, and have a good hard look at the bigger picture. ... What really matters to you? What gives you a sense of fulfillment? Two years with this little guy has really shown me all of the other things we should value and be grateful for. Healthy living is certainly way more than just a number on the scale or a rep PB in the gym. #perspective

24.01.2022 Silly season is well and truly here. Overdue catch ups, long work lunches and family BBQ’s are filling up our calendars. If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed and don’t really know how to stay on track with your training and nutrition, these things might help: - Schedule in your training sessions for the week... - Meal prep for 1-2 hours so you have a few meals ready to go when needed - Keep your diet high in fruit, veg and quality food sources as much as you can. - Look at the menus of any restaurants or bars you’re eating out at so you have a better idea of what meals are your best options. - Keep a solid night time routine and make sure you’re getting quality sleep on most nights - Continue to make time to do the things that you enjoy - walking, going to the beach, watching a movie etc. MOST IMPORTANTLY Have fun and don’t overthink it. Life will go on post Christmas. You shouldn’t miss out on events or not enjoy these moments because you can’t track a particular meal on MFP or your weight didn’t go down 300g for the week #sillyseason

23.01.2022 Technique is important when you’re performing an exercise but so is moving with fluidity. Your body can handle being in lots of different positions with load look to move gracefully in your execution. Being super rigid when you lift isn’t of much benefit. ... On the contrary, if you aren’t working with a good foundation and you’re throwing yourself around like an idiot, expect a few visits to the physio. #liftweights

20.01.2022 ONLY SCRATCHING THE SURFACE 3 months working with Denis and we’re still sitting at the tip of the iceberg. Here’s the deal:... He is 37 with 2 young kids; works full time. Hasn’t set foot in a gym in over a year. Only doing 3x45 min weights sessions a week. Home gym is a few free weights, a bench and some resistance bands. Hasn’t tracked one macro or calorie. No diets. No meal plans. Sleep is sub par post of the time (thanks kids). No fancy supps. Couple of protein shakes daily. Has put 5kg on and hasn’t been in this kind of shape for 5-10 years. We are not even CLOSE to optimising his potential and results yet. Working in corporate gyms with so many different people for a long time means I’ve had to develop my ability as a coach to find the right tools for the job almost every time I have begun working with a new client. Not easy to do but extremely rewarding when you can still help them produce a quality result regardless of what you’re working with. Scary to think about what we can achieve in the next 6-12 months. No wonder I love this shit. #sundayspecial @ Sydney, Australia

18.01.2022 Merry Christmas from the almost 5 of us! We hope everyone had an amazing day with their loved ones. #merrychristmas

12.01.2022 We are not trying to make your life harder. We are to help you do something that you struggle to do on your own. The process doesn’t just become a cake walk because you pay a PT every week. ... We will teach you, guide you, support you and get through every step of this phase in your life with you. But you have to be willing to listen, learn and do what needs to be done. Or you don’t have to. Your call. #mondayitis

11.01.2022 Never was, never will be.

09.01.2022 Results with one client? Always good. Results with two clients from the same family? Even better. Weight down Improved body composition Better food choices ... Implemented a consistent exercise routine Healthier habits and lifestyle These ladies have ticked a lot of boxes in 10 weeks. The thing I love most is the fact that they are in this together. They are 10 years apart. They have different careers, training backgrounds and goals. Yet they show up as a pair every day to get it done, motivating and supporting each other until they both produce results which speak for themselves. Accountability and support is crucial when you’re on this journey. Never underestimate the power of having a training partner or working with someone who is in this for the same reasons as you. 07.01.2022 It’s amazing what weights can do to your physique when you lift them frequently and effectively. @harri.corry has certainly warmed to the process and is starting to see some big changes. Very excited to see what we can achieve in the next 12 months. ... Long term goal will be to get him so wide, he’ll struggle to walk through a hallway . 03.01.2022 Comparison is the thief of joy. Easily one of my all time favourite quotes. Mainly because it’s so true and I see it so often. (I do it myself regularly too, it’s hard not to nowadays!) The next time you get tempted to compare what you have against what someone else has, remember this. ... You have your own opportunities. Your own decisions to make. Your own health to work on. Your own fun to be had. Your own experiences to enjoy. Your own life to build. Prioritise yourself. Focus on the things that YOU can control for your own sake. You have the time here like everybody else. Better make it count. #humpday

01.01.2022 Different gym, same good time with this legend #killer
