09.01.2022 Our team games are lots of fun - but unfortunately too hard to share via FB. However, here is one our active workouts and a breathing and yoga for you to try at home. Designed by PT Skye Wood for Actively Balanced Kids this is one of our more active workouts at ABK! Hula Hoop Workout (hula hoops on ground)... 30 seconds work; 20 seconds break; 2 rounds of circuit: Side jumpouts Front jumpouts Fast feet in and out of hula hoop Hop in and out of hula hoop Run around hoola hoop Try the yoga below (pictures on how to do the poses are in this post!), and follow on with the breathing - 1. Bridge Pose- Packing your suitcase 2. Tree Pose Fruit trees on the farm 3. Squat Pose Chickens on the farm 4. Happy Baby Pose - Pigs rolling in mud 5. Horse Stance Horse eating in the paddock 6. Puppy Pose Farm dog 7. Fish Pose -Fish swimming in a pond 8. Pigeon Pose A flock of birds coming down to be feed at dinner time 9. Standing forward Bend A large bail of hay for the sheep 10 A camp fire to sit by after dinner toasting marshmallows And now for the breathing: Imagine that you are chopping Wood at the Farm. Stand tall in Mountain Pose and take your feet out a little wider than hip-width apart. Take a long breath in while raising your hands above your head. On a exhale with your mouth open, take your hands down between your legs. Repeat the steps, pretending to be a wood chopper cutting a log for a campfire. Repeat three to four times.
