22.01.2022 190 and 491 visas may have been suspended... Reports are coming in that the Federal Government has seemingly suspended the 190 and 491 state sponsored program by not releasing any new allocations on July 1 as they typically do. While the program settings for the skilled migration program remain unaltered ahead of the 2020-21 Budget, it would seem the State & Territory governments’ may have no ability to nominate either existing or intending applicants in those two visa sub ...classes. This is not the first time the program has been delayed due to allocations not being released on July 1 and we know the stain this might put on some clients. Their are no dates known at this point however the new budget will be handed down on October 6th and some people have suggested it might coincide with this. We will keep monitoring this development and updating the page as we hear more.
