19.01.2022 This may be based around the outsourcing of sales, but Eric has nailed this...the same principles apply to Outsourcing Accountancy work. 1. Don’t be the blind leading the blind. 2. Be hands-on. 3. Embrace the Pareto Principle.... 4. Invest in follow-up. http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/249789 Get Active www.activeoutsourcing.com.au

18.01.2022 With accounting margins under pressure, many accountancy firms are increasingly looking into consulting as a new revenue stream. Yet a recent study by @Smithink2020 reveals that Australian accounting firms struggle with expansion into consulting. To move forward, firms may need to take the challenge more seriously, as well as build the relevant capacity to succeed. You need to increase your TIME available to you to give you the best chance of succeeding. Be efficient. Change. Get Active www.activeoutsourcing.com.au

11.01.2022 You likely already outsource our kids via babysitting, self-settling consulting, breastfeeding advice, maths tutoring and maybe toilet training: https://www.nycpottytraining.com/ (yep it exists) It’s much easier (and sensible) to start outsourcing your professional services, accountancy and SMSF work than your kids. 11.01.2022 Outsourcing is not a new occurrence in the business world. Large corporations have long viewed it as a strategy to save on costs while capitalising on specialised professional talent only required only for short periods. Technological advances have made outsourcing a far more accessible tool for entrepreneurs and small businesses, which realise benefits in hiring a virtual team for their business growth, productivity and balance sheet. It's no different for your accountancy f...irm! Get Active www.activeoutsourcing.com.au

11.01.2022 You can (and should) #outsource parts of your relationship, but not the important bits! For example, perhaps you love going to the movies, but your partner hates it, going with a group of friends outsources this need and fulfills it. Easy. Everyone wins. Outsourcing Accountancy work really is a piece of cake compared to that and everyone wins. Get Active.... www.activeoutsourcing.com.au See more

09.01.2022 Outsourcing is a $300bn industry (worldwide) and yet studies show that up to one third of clients are dissatisfied with their suppliers. This is partly because selecting a supplier is a bit like choosing a marriage partner without the benefit of dating. Make sure you partner with an Australian provider who understands what you do. In accountancy, we are the outsourcing experts! We've been there and done it. Get Active... www.activeoutsourcing.com.au See more

02.01.2022 Yesterday I was lucky enough to be asked to present a session at the CPA Australia Technology Forum in Sydney that is still going on today. The 30 minute piece I presented was broadly about the different technology tools and solutions that accountants can use to increase the efficiency of their firm and the way they currently undertake work and how little effort is actually required to change the way they work to get a better result for their firm and their clients. While tha...t may sound boring, anyone who knows me realises that I could talk technology all day, but a piece of me turned my mind back to the affect of technology on people and outsourcing of work to make things even more efficient. Efficiency is the most important aspect in running a good accountancy firm. On the most part the big accounting software providers think that technology is an alternate to outsourcing, but that's not really the case. In fact technology advancements in accounting software has been a huge enabler for me in getting an outsourcing team up and running to support Australian staff and firms undertaking client work. Back in the old days, which we can now call 2007, James Hird was still playing at Essendon in his final season and to make accounting software accessible at home or overseas you need to house your software on a flakey remote server or VPN that'd cost an arm and a leg to deliver you a volatile connection at best. It just wasn't a viable solution as the efficiency gain in lower cost staff was lost through the lost productive time from the IT issues and the fact that sometimes connections were slower than a dial-up connection. Fast forward to 2015 and James Hird has "resigned" as Essendon coach after one of the most controversial few years in AFL history.....and cloud accounting technology means that we can access our client and practice information from anywhere in the world, on almost any device we want (sorry Blackberry). This means that one of the handbrakes on working flexibly and an excuse for not using an outsourcing team to help outsourcing accountancy firm work be it productive or administration has been lifted. Technology is not greater than Outsourcing Outsourcing is not greater than Technology In fact Technology + Outsourcing = Efficiency Get your firm active today www.activeoutsourcing.com.au

01.01.2022 Who works 9am to 5pm anymore? The past decade ushered in a new era in globalisation of the world economy. Owners must fight with both the strategic and operational implications of managing longer and more complex jobs that loop across countries and timezones. Unless you have a Marty McFly style DeLorean this means you’re going to be time poor. Accountancy is no different, you need to adapt the way you do things, find time or risk being left behind. Outsourcing your accountan...cy work can help meet the increasing demands. Get active www.activeoutsourcing.com.au
