25.01.2022 $99,000,000 and 300 local jobs. That's what a reelected Labor government will deliver with our commitment to school upgrades over the next four years. 23.01.2022 From today, while every part of Australia is still under some level of restrictions, 3.5 million Australians will have their incomes cut dramatically. Remember this when you go to cast your vote in the ACT election. This is how the Liberals respond to an economic crisis - with a short term plan and by pulling money out of the economy in the middle of a recession.

23.01.2022 Under a re-elected Labor Government, every three year old child in Canberra will have access to one day a week of free early learning by the end of the next term of government. This is a major step towards ACT Labor’s goal of providing 15 hours per week of free, quality early childhood education for three year old children. Already, every four year old in the ACT has access to 15 hours a week of early childhood education under a National Partnership Agreement.... However, ACT Labor is committed to providing expanded access to early learning for families in the ACT. Well established research has shown that the period from birth through to eight yearsespecially the first three yearssets the foundation for every child’s social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. In 2020, the ACT Labor Government started this work by providing 600 three year old children most in need with access to access 15 hours a week of free, quality early childhood education. For many families, access to early learning for children means access to the workforce for parents. As we navigate the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever to remove barriers to workforce participation.

22.01.2022 After delivering 100% renewable electricity, battery storage is the key next step to protect the ACT when fossil fuel generators fail during hot summers. We recognise that low-cost energy storage is the missing link in the transition to a 100% renewable National Electricity Market. The global battery storage market is predicted to be worth $400 billion by 2030 and the ACT is an ideal launching pad for national and international businesses wanting to get a head start in this exciting emerging industry. We have also announced an additional low interest loan scheme for local non-government schools to support investment in solar panels and battery storage systems.

21.01.2022 Congratulations Marisa Paterson for Murrumbidgee!

19.01.2022 Congratulations Tara Cheyne MLA!

18.01.2022 A re-elected ACT Labor Government will support local jobs by expanding the successful age-friendly suburbs program to improve path networks and promote accessibly for older Canberrans. Over the last four years, ACT Labor has delivered upgrades in 12 Canberra suburbs that are home to a larger number of older Canberrans. These improvements included completing missing path connections, installing crossings, ramps and refuge islands. If re-elected, ACT Labor will expand this program in additional suburbs over the next four years with a $2 million investment in Reid, Chifley, Scullin and O’Connor.

17.01.2022 Why does Alistair Coe continue to think he knows better than our public health experts?

17.01.2022 Every public school will continue to be a great school under ACT Labor. A re-elected ACT Labor government will support local jobs with a four year $99 million school infrastructure renewal program to ensure every public school is a great school.... The program will also create close to 650 local jobs, contributing to our goal of increasing the Territory’s employment base to more than 250,000 local jobs by 2025.

16.01.2022 A re-elected ACT Labor government will hire more than 400 teachers and support staff for ACT public schools. As Canberra continues to grow we'll make sure that our public education system grows with it. Our city is facing a huge economic challenge, and creating jobs is our number one priority.... ACT teachers were there when we needed them most ensuring our children continued to learn during COVID-19 restrictions. They are the single most important factor to secure good educational outcomes for students. The ACT Labor Government has made sure that ACT public school teachers remain the highest paid in the country. And a returned Labor government is committed to attracting and retaining an even larger workforce of great teachers and other school staff.

14.01.2022 Vale Susan Ryan. Today we lost a champion for justice and trailblazer who served as Senator for the ACT for over a decade. Her greatest achievement was not in being the first in her position but always working to ensure that the door remained open for others to follow.... We are a richer branch and community for having had a giant like Susan Ryan among us.

13.01.2022 ACT Labor made the ACT the renewable energy capital of Australia, and we want to build on that achievement. We think that Canberra can achieve something even bigger. That’s why, if re-elected this October, ACT Labor will start work to deliver one of the biggest renewable battery storage system in Australia. ACT Labor’s Big Canberra Battery will deliver at least 250MW of battery storage ensuring lower electricity prices and a more stable and resilient power grid.

12.01.2022 Canberrans: We want action on climate change! Canberra Liberals after losing the election: Let's make Elizabeth Lee leader! Canberrans: k nevermind

12.01.2022 ACT Labor has the experience to deliver great public schools and the right plan to support Canberra and protect local jobs. Labor's renewal program will deliver investments like upgraded cooling and heating, improved learning spaces, staff rooms, toilets, outdoor learning and play equipment. The program will also create close to 650 local jobs, contributing to our goal of increasing the Territory’s employment base to more than 250,000 local jobs by 2025.

11.01.2022 Today we launched our 2020 election campaign with the help of some special guests! Voting begins with pre poll opening in just over a week.

10.01.2022 We promised 100% renewable energy. We delivered. And we were the first state or territory to get there.

10.01.2022 The ACT has the highest participation in sport and recreation in Australia, and ACT Labor has a strong record of creating local jobs through new and upgraded sporting facilities. Our plan is to continue ensuring every region across Canberra has access to good local sporting facilities so they can participate in a variety of sports. If re-elected, a further $17 million will be allocated towards upgrades to existing sportsgrounds around Canberra with additional lights, pavilion upgrades, irrigation upgrades and other amenities.

08.01.2022 CONFIRMED: Canberra Liberals refuse to commit to Light Rail Stage 2

06.01.2022 In 2016 promised 5 walk-in centres. We delivered. We know Canberran's love them, so we're committing to 5 more. And you know Labor will deliver them because we've done it before.... Only Labor can be trusted to keep delivering an expanded health system for Canberra as our city grows.

04.01.2022 Fingers crossed!

03.01.2022 When pressed for answers, Liberal Leader Alistair Coe has none when it comes to the question everyone keeps asking - "How will you pay for your promises?"

02.01.2022 Canberra Liberals say they're committed to tackling climate change. But Leader Alistair Coe can't find a single Canberra Liberal policy that invests in renewables.

02.01.2022 Voting opens today! Early voting is available to all electors so get down to help re-elect Australia's most experienced and progressive government. Voting is open at 15 locations across Canberra, for the next three weeks until election day on October 17 2020.
