22.01.2022 This is SUPER important - survey of Australians who are bedridden, homebound or close to it - this includes frail elderly folk who find leaving home very difficult as well as younger people with any type of chronic illness and disabilities. For the purposes of research, if you can leave the house once a week or less you're probably "homebound" and the questionnaire steps through asking you questions about your ability level, so complete it even though you're not sure. Also th...ere's a bit where it asks you for a photo - it's a photo of your HAND, nothing which will identify you. Just skip that bit if it's too much to manage! https://qualtrics.flinders.edu.au/j/form/SV_8qW69nZrlqsdviB [Public post - please share]

18.01.2022 How can we possibly attempt to respond to the huge unknown policy and logistical challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic is throwing at the community, while effectively excluding half of the population from key decision-making? Certainly, we need the experts in infectious disease to be central to decision-making (and there are many women in these fields) but we also need the diverse population to be reflected to ensure varied life experiences are taken into account with the impact of the decisions flowing from that expert advice.
