20.01.2022 Getting out of the Weeds I am pleased to announce the Commonwealth Department of Social Services and Volunteering ACT have awarded the club a grant to purchase wiper snipers and mowers. Subject to funds transfer and equipment availability, these tools will be at the club late this week or early next week.... The grant was specifically provided to make it easier for volunteers to support the ACT Motorcycle Club without the need to for volunteers to supply equipment. Given the current weed situation at both MX and Dirt Track this is a very timely grant. The ACT Motorcycle Club wishes to acknowledge and thank the Department of Social Services and Volunteering ACT for funding this project. Brett Swale

Thank you to all those candidates that put themselves forward for the election. It is very pleasing to see the club has so many passionate and committed members wishing to take the club forward. 16.01.2022 Club Membership 2021 2021 Club memberships are now available on Ridernet. Being a club member enables you to receive email updates from the club and to save money over the course of the year through reduced ride day and race entry fees. ... Do the maths if you are a senior or junior rider that rides at the club four or more times during the year you will save money with a club membership. Memberships are available for Seniors $70 Junior + Parent/Guardian $70 Family $100 Life members will be added manually to Ridernet. If you are a Life Member that needs your membership updated in order to enter race meetings, please contact the club and we will get that done for you quickly. Regards Brett

16.01.2022 To All members information from the club president John Davison. With the AGM tomorrow we have decided to let all get an update on what’s happening past and present at your Club today. 1 .DT and MX eftpos payment system for canteen and sign on already implemented by current treasurer since 2019.(We will not stop cash on the day for people who prefer that legal system)... 2. Mx Track open every week for social riding if not racing already implemented by current MX Chair since November 2020 bringing operating revenue to club. 3. DT and MX race series ran through Covid. 4. DT social riding held during 2020 already implemented by current DT Chair bringing operating revenue to club. 5. DT track area has had $35,000 2019/2020 spent on it to bring to current MNSW STD so we can ride and race. 6. MX track watering system being repaired by current MX chair and track manager after MX track reversed during Covid but not completed by previous MX Chair. 7 . Open Events held at MX King of MX 2019 , Australian 2 Stoke Nationals 2019, East Coast 2020 , 2019 Amcross , ATV Australian Championship 2019, multiple training events Hayden Melross, Greg Moss and Michel Race Pace. 8. Social plan approved by current president and Comittee to begin process to employ facility manager to work on tracks and buildings/grounds this was part of original plan started in 2018 by the club president.Also includes machinery fit or purpose that is required. 9.2020 we have secured the MX Pro nationals round 2 and the DT Australian championship 2020! In regards to Amcross we have decided not to run this in 2020 due to the Hire of the property being at $10,000 for 2019 a 100% lift in cost from the property when compared to 2018 we ran at and this is not sustainable for our club. Lastly this is from your club president and I am sure this post will draw positive feed back and criticism from other parties, please consider the noise you may be hearing but this is the facts in regards to ACT MCC. 13.01.2022 On Any Sunday #6 this Sunday the 13th of December ACT MX track social ride, gates open at 8.00 am bike on the track at 9.00 am come to ACT MCC for a ride, you don’t need to be a member just turn up with your bike and gear as sign in for a ride.

03.01.2022 ACT MX track repairs continue for the members and social riders who come to the club James Davison and Richard Macarthur MX chair fixing a damaged pipe that was very deep under the ground causing water issues at the bottom of the down ramp. Also section 3 and 4 main pipe the boys repaired as well.The club wants to thank them both for the very hard work that they have put into the MX area. With this final pipe repair the whole watering system will now work again after the damage during the Covid period.

The weeds are getting cut and the parking areas are looking good. The track prep is getting done and the water system is being repaired the canteen is being stocked and the BBQ is ready, going to be a great On Any Sunday this weekend December 6th thanks to the hard work from the guys.
