24.01.2022 SUPPORTING EACH OTHER THROUGH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC We hope this post finds you and your family all safe and well. As we all know the COVID-19 global pandemic has disrupted our lives. It is important to acknowledge this, and also look at the ways we can help ourselves, our colleagues, families and friends stay safe and well as we deal with a rapidly evolving situation. We must also keep abreast of all issues and national guidelines set out by Federal and State governments ...with regard to restrictions and easing of restrictions that will enable us to get back on the playing field of the sport we love. Sadly a second wave of coronavirus has hit Victoria / Melbourne and has brought the state into a total lockdown situation. New South Wales is also showing strong signs of a potential second wave of coronavirus, which now threatens to bring a potential lockdown in that state as well. The coronavirus outbreak has led to a great deal of uncertainty about the 2020 sporting calendar throughout Australia, with many sporting bodies already cancelling games and events due to restrictions on contact and distancing in sport. Over the past seven months we have held monthly meetings with all State Directors regarding resuming the NAS competition throughout Australia for the remainder 2020. We have been unable to recommence the NAS circuit due to government guidelines and restrictions. NAS / NATIONAL ALL STYLES TOURNAMENT CIRCUIT POTENTIAL EVENTS FOR 2020. - SUBJECT TO COVID I’m an optimist, hoping that things will settle down by September, so we can hold the following NAS tournament events subject to COVID-19 A/ Queensland State Open Championship (October 18th Cararra Indoor Stadium Gold Coast) B/ New South Wales State Open Championship (TBA) C/ Victoria State Open Championship (October 25th TBA) D/ Australian Capital Territory State Open Championship (September TBA) E/ 2020 NAS National Open Championships Gold Coast (December 5-6) Note: All the above events are subject to the current COVID-19 situation. We will keep everyone informed with updates. COVID-19 has disrupted our way of life, families, workplaces, schools and sporting bodies throughout Australia. In closing, We would like to wish you and your family well as you continue to stay informed, safe and well amidst challenging and dynamic circumstances. I would also like to thank you for your continued support. Please share with friend. Thank you Yours in Martial Arts, James Casey President CEO/ NAS National all Styles Australia

18.01.2022 Notice to all martial arts schools/clubs,competitors and family’s who attend NAS-National all styles tournament here in ACT - Australian Capital Territory. It is with regret and disappointment we have to postpone and reschedule Round One - ACT NAS Tournament event being held on the 15th March. Due to the Coronavirus Outbreak that has shut down all Chinese Factories ... China’s Factories Struggle to Resume Operations After Virus Shutdown. 500million and 48 city’s are in total shutdown, China, known as the factory to the world, plays a crucial role in the global supply chain to the world and here in Australia economy. We spoke to our suppliers here in Australia and have just been advised the Chinese government has again pushed back the production dates for all factories to re-open again due to coronavirus outbreak that is spreading far and wide and moving across China's manufacturing sector. The shutdown affects not some particular companies but all manufacturing as a whole in China and they are still uncertain how many factory workers will return to their factory to recommence work?? This is not an isolated situation to NAS being able to get their trophies, but more a global situation where many industries are being affected here in Australia and worldwide. ACT State Director Mr. Glen Gibbons will be in contact you throughout the week about rescheduled date for round One and Round Two We will keep everyone informed what’s happening regarding up-coming tournament events over the next week. Our apologies to all martial arts schools, competitors and family’s. thank you for your understanding and look forward all soon Yours in martial Arts Jim Casey President CEO/ NAS WASO National All Styles Australia Chairman Australian NAS Referees Board
